Despite what people say, people really don't like change. Re: WH pausing federal grants and loans, I asked Rep. Rich McCormick if he'd support getting rid of school lunches for his constituents. He tells me high school kids who receive free/reduced lunches "are capable of going out and actually getting a job" instead of "sponging off the government." This frivolous shit that invigorates his base has the power it does because most of them are doing well. By doing well I mean they are able to meet their basic needs of food, water and shelter. Once enough people are at the point where those needs are no longer met, people will revolt in some form. Only 25 percent voted for his ass. I have no idea how many are dogmatic for him but I do know there are a lot of uneducated people who voted for him believing he’d improve their lives. Trumps major issue is his boogeymen are inside the nation that wants to be isolationist. There is no international conquest to rid the world of these boogeymen. The guys building our chips for our weapons. We dont even make microchips not have the ability to catch up to their levels for at least a decade. MAGA might say they don't claim them but those people have certainly claimed MAGA and they're among their most vocal members. If even some MAGA people did publicly, what @Titandan did here, it would help to curb it a little but the right knows that they need those votes as a part of their coalition and are more likely to actively court them while keeping them at an arm's length at least in public.
