Funny how Carthon himself has come to terms with the fact if you GM a team to a 9-25 record over a two year span your job security is not going to be good when all his blowhard media buddies can't wrap their heads around this is why he was fired.

Well in fairness, I think he had 3 months of advance notice......But the local media simply wants blood because of the low hanging lazy narratives they want to push about AAS being incompetent,  Brinker being a snake, and the team in chaos.

The funniest narrative out there is from the dumbfucks that say that Vrabel is the greatest and AAS never should have fired him AND that Ran was unjustly fired given that one of the huge issues with Vrabel was Carthon being incompetent.

There's something to the notion that the the job description when he took over was different than it is now.

 

At the point he was hired, they were still in the mindset of competing for the playoffs. They needed someone who would be deferential to Vrabel. Carthon is a pro-personnel guy whose focus is on acquiring pro players. Now they need a GM who can rebuild through the draft.
