Titans secure picks #1 and #35 in the 2025 Draft

Recommended Posts

My preference hasn't waivered.  I'd sign a FA QB like Rodgers or Wilson, and then take developmental guy in the mid rounds like Howard, Gabriel, or Rogers, and let them sit for a year or two.

That said, I'm liking Ward more now than I ever have, so if we stay and pick (which seems to be the likelihood now), I'm ok with it.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

Yea I think it’s too late now

There's a month left.....and NYG has no QB aside from Tommy DeVito.....Even Levis and Pickett are better than him.

What the pro "draft Ward" group is largely missing is that drafting a "potential franchise QB" at #1 overall is far more often overdrafting/settling and something this very team has done 3 times in the last 20 years with zero success.

Now Ward to me seems like a better prospect than any of those guys (VY, Locker, Mariota) but the over the top Mahomes/McNair comps only make the most ardent Ward supporters look stupid.

I'm impressed with Borgonzi/Brinker putting the organization in a situation where other teams know if they want #1 they're going to have to ridiculously overpay.  They've chummed the waters, baited the hook and cast a line.  Now let's see what bites.  We have 5 weeks to go and the closer we get to draft day the more desperate other teams will be.

I'm not making anything up. I assume you can read. When people say you don't trade away your chance to draft a franchise qb when you don't have one, repeatedly, and say Ward is the only choice then you are saying Ward is a franchise qb. Multiple people are saying that.  But do go on continuing to claim no one is saying that.

Pretzel twisting. That’s a reach. Oh, well. Oilerman already said it, so I’m not going to repeat it.

They also skipped over Mahomes to take Garrett.

In reality, the only two teams who were in love with Mahomes were Chiefs and Payton's Saints as they were in line to take him at 11.

It’s a little over the top. The need to take everything so literal or frame it in an extreme way comes off poorly In my opinion.

Ah, that’s fine. All of this could have been avoided (on my end) if he would have just been forthright when asked about where these opinions were coming from. He didn’t, so I kept asking because HE kept giving digs at the “Ward hive” (which I don’t consider myself. I’d be more happy with a trade down, but I’m okay with Ward at 1) instead of actually providing evidence for his claims.

I don’t see how that’s coming off poorly (it’s a damn message board), but it’s okay if you view it that way.

In short, he can have his opinion (everyone can) but be willing to back it up if it’s challenged. Especially if we are speaking in absolutes already.

Seattle was too and Wilson and his agent had a conniption fit over it when Schneider was at Mahomes workout.
