I think it's obvious at this point the Titans are taking Ward. I'm on board and think his ceiling is pretty high. Callahan gave an interview to A to Z after the season that was super revealing about t

I'm totally fine with the Titans drafting Ward. Enough people think he can be good and he's shown enough NFL traits. It would not be like the Titans overdrafting Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance.

Another suggestion of play design problems.

Didn't he mention the same play warner did? If so thats hardly more "proof". The execution of a single play does not a pattern make.

If it was soemthing else my bad, to lazy to rewatch it to check.

Don't recall exactly but I think so ... and also that's not all.

People didn't want to take Warner at face value so it's still helpful in adding weight to the commentary on that play... but he also notes that the scheme could be at issue (one of a few possibilities he notes) on a shot to the outside left later in the video.

Im not trying to discount it completely. There is something to what they are saying. But I also agree with those that said its hard to judge when you dont know if it was the play its self or if it was run incorrectly.

Something we will have to keep an eye on during the season to see if its really an issue or a hickup.

He said that the routes were a bad choice against that type of coverage, and that the design of the play gave Ward no options outside of Ayomanor (who was also covered).  The other receivers could be running "bullshit , get out of the way" routes with Ayomanor being the only possible target, or it was just a poorly designed play.  Which I assume meant that he wasn't aware that of the design flaws and that nobody would have the possibility of being open.

Here's the play in question.  If this is the play design that Ward is going to be dealing with, we're not going to get the results we're hoping for.

Looks like a missed PI call on Ayo.  Ayo had his man beat on this play in question.

Willis could certainly fuck up any assignment as well as Levis did.  But in GB, he didn't.  Players making fewer mistakes just seems to come along with a better plan/coaching.

Case in point - Tennessee was #8 in 1st quarter points.  Nether Levis, Rudolph, nor any of these other bums were making mistakes when there was a good plan in place, and performed well beyond their collective skill levels.  That's a great look for Callahan.  So I think there's a world where we could extend that success beyond 1 quarter.  Maybe Callahan will build on that and become that guy.

Willis was also surrounded by a 10x better team in GB. Having stud players around you helps you make less mistakes because they make you right. If you throw a ball behind a receiver, the coaching can't fix that but the receiver being good enough to bail you out can. If you're a guy like Willis where you need to see separation before you throw the ball, a receiver that's good at creating separation helps you more than the scheme. If you're like Willis and pressure kills you, then having an OL full of good pass blockers helps you immensely. Just look at Willis this past preseason when forced to play with other scrubs like him on offense; he looked like shit. Your theory can't explain that, mine can.

You guys focus on the coach when it's pretty clear that the bigger factor is surrounding talent. It's a psychological crutch to always blame the coach because you can convince yourself that if you just fire him and get the "right" coach things will just magically get better but that's foolish. Campaigning to fire a coach is easy, what's hard is taking an honest look at your roster and realizing that regardless of who the coach is, you're not close to being a real team. When this whole board was obsessed with firing Vrabel, I said that the talent on the roster was the real problem and that whoever the next coach was would struggle too. I was right and the next coach is now struggling too. Talent>coaching by a mile.

Your theory doesn't explain the improvement of Willis from a dysfunctional QB who was benched after 2 games and shipped for a late 7th to having one is the best QB ratings and EPAs in the league.  Gardner Minshew didn't increase his QB rating by 70+ points after going from the lowly Jaguars to Philadelphia, whose talent blows GB out of the water.

There's a reason GB drafted a WR in the 1st - those guys other than maybe Reed are totally replaceable.  They are just elevated by the scheme, like Willis, Love, and everyone else is.
