I have no idea where he was "slotted". I believe Andrew Brandt when he said multiple personnel people said he went about where he should have. 

 

I know when I saw Ward throwing the ball in workouts and games it was on a completely different level than Sanders.

Sanders obviously dropped due to his personality. He wasn’t a good enough QB to go in round 1, but based on his QB ability alone he should have gone higher than 6th.

This is emblematic of why he fell. In his top 5 moments, only 1 was football related. Being the best QB he can be isn't his top goal. His dedication and attitude just aren't there for a player who's not a top talent anyway. When he hits some adversity, he's going to quit.

Not even the first QB drafted by his team. My guess is Sanders is never more than a novelty in the NFL.

Shedeur is an anomaly.  How many times in the last two, two and one half decades has a player unanimously ranked first round fallen to round five in a draft without some type injury or character issue that showed unknown to the (NFL) industry.  That’s not even debatable. 
 

This was obvious collusion. The next level is what they do with him in the league. They put him exactly in the bullseye of the teams Deion said he would not let him go play for. That story died as day two was drawing to a conclusion. Another slap in case Deion failed to get the message Friday night. 
 

What’s going to happen next?  A storybook ending would be Shedeur starting game four, lighting up defenses and winning the East.  Unfortunately for Shedeur this is real life and he ain’t that good. But if the draft gurus are not charlatans he’ll be the unquestioned starter for 2026. 
 

Dillion Gabriel will be remembered as that QB the Browns drafted before Shedeur.  Then again Shedeur might be heard saying, if I had to sum up my NFL career in one sentence.  “Well that didn’t fucking go as planned.

Teams don’t collude with each other to not draft a 1st round caliber QB (which he isn’t). They fight each other to the death to draft him.

 

Shedeur is just a overhyped QB prospect with a personality no one wanted in their locker room. That’s why he dropped. He might turn things around and put his personality in check, but even if he does he’s not going to turn into a quality NFL starter.
