BudsOilers
The Callahan/Levis pairing will be fun to watch. And really the biggest key to whether this regime will be successful or not at least in the short term. Mythos27, and Justafan

Callahan basically said they planned for multiple scenarios. if Alt and Latham were gone they weren't going to automatically take LT3 or WR3. I mean, sure if you interpret it that way but he said they wanted Alt or Latham and that they were confident one of them would be there. He alluded to the fact they might have taken Nabers or Odunze instead of LT3. I was mainly pointing out that it sounded like they had LT as a higher priority due to the Ridley signing and that they were going to take Alt or Latham over Nabers. Even talked about how some have coached for so long it would be odd to do so. The complete opposite of Vrabel. My favorite was the adaptation from a zone to gap running scheme and mixing things up when Burrow was injured. Adapt or die. Pragidealist

TheBukafax
I find it funny how much the league is adopting so much shit that pro madden players have done forever Pragidealist, oldschool, and headhunter 1
BudsOilers
It's not like pro teams that have been very successful haven't been doing these things.

Popular Post Titans279
The way he described Levis vs the way he described Burrow is funny. We all know these things, but it's good to know they know them too and will not build the Burrow offense for a guy who can't do that. Levis: Tough, plays with passion. It's important to him. He wants to be good. He's athletic, strong, throws it as good as anybody. Big arm, impressive down the field throws, can make every throw. Burrow: Fantastic processor, maybe the most accurate QB in the league, and the ability to play incredibly quick. These two guys are pretty much the opposite ends of the QB spectrum. Levis has a good arm, Burrow has an elite mind. He wants to build the offense to be friendly to Levis, get his completion percentage up and be more efficient. Levis would crash and burn in an offense that required quick processing and accurate throws. Hopefully they can do a better job of scheming guys open for Levis, and then when they call up the shot plays Levis can hit it. I don't want them to be relying on Levis to process quickly and making pin point accurate throws all the time. Echoing everyone, it does sound like Callahan "gets it" and it will be fun to watch a team with a more modern approach for once. BudsOilers
I do think there is a baseline of what Levis needs to jump to regardless in terms of accuracy and quick processing in order to have a functional offense. If they don't improve their production on short/intermediate stuff, you end up relying on deep shots and that just is low % stuff even if you're good at it. Hopefully Levis can start consistently hitting the nets in practice! SleepingTitan, BudsOilers, XAEA12, and 1 other 1

Did you listen to the pff podcast where they go throughout every draft class back to 2000 or something trying to decide if the alpha qb of the group is the guy you should pick regardless of anything else? Was a rather fun listen. Also apparently rbs with giant hands is the only thing you need to care about. Well that and the fantasy football if they get drafted high metric. OilerTitanHybrid
Fuck Joe Burrow. Torn ACL, limp wristed mofo... Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy!!! Levis got rolled up like a pretzel and almost snapped into last year in that game. People posting here saying he had a snappy broken leg on the play, but nooo, Levis gets up and walks off the field! Levis is a grown fuckin' man! Hefty, Hefty, Hefty!!! We're not in Cincy anymore Toto! Number9, and SleepingTitan 1

I don't listen to those PFF nerds...they are awful. The stats/info on their site is useful but their analysis is generally poor. I think the great QB's almost always have a strong leadership quality to them - it doesn't have to be in your face. It can be tough like a McNair or cool like a Montana but a guy like Mariota was none of those things. Of course, they have to be able to play the position at high level regardless of the personality type. Justafan, and oldschool
