They have Hopkins and Ridley starting and multiple options in the slot. He's not doing anything here worthy of getting an extension. Trade him for whatever you can get and let him have a chance to do something w/ his career w/ someone else.
titanruss
They just said on the radio that we are still 4th in the league for cap space... I dont think thats accurate as rookies and Boyd arent accounted for (rookies arent accounted anywhere) But if you just subtact the max value of this contract, Titans are still like 8th with 26.5 mil left. Might get a couple more mil for us depending on the actual wording of the contract. There's plenty of room to make more moves without needing to trade anyone away. If he turns things around this year he will still get plenty of snaps as a top 4 WR. And put him in position to increase his workload in 2025 with Hopkins, Boyd, and NWI all gone. Why do you think he's at best 3rd to get slot time? I dont think that is set yet. He's also directly competing with NWI to back up the other two spots or possibly be than main backup for all 3. Burkes and phillips would also have some different slot responsibilites. Big slot vs small slot.

I haven't looked at the depth chart that closely but at WR we currently have 1) Hopkins 2) Ridley 3) Boyd 4) Phillips 5) Jackson 6) NWI 7) Burks Traditionally keeping 7 WRs isn't easy as you have to make compromises at other positions. It’s normal for the Bengals. They play a whole lot more 3+ WR sets than Vrabel's Titans ever did. I’d assume we can expect the same. titanruss

BudsOilers
Somewhat related is the 53 man roster makeup. How many receivers do they keep (5, 6, or 7)? VanCityTitan

Probably 10 OL because they are now more valuable on kickoff returns.
BudsOilers
Cincy had 6 WR's last year. 5 in 2021 and 2022......They didn't keep 7 WR's..... If I had to guess, the Titans will likely carry 6 WR's. Titans279, Justafan, and oldschool
