Titans talk starts at the 51m mark.

I’m not sure how it’s confusing what they did. They have no big contracts coming up in the next couple of years when these big money old men will be gone/cuttable. Mind as well spend what you have to evaluate Levis.

The Boyd thread really got me thinking, but I think this one is the more applicable to post in about this.     I think we as fans do have a more long-term view of the team as far as being co

There are still questions at QB, pass protection and pass rush and overall depth. Those are major issues.    Latham will likely having rookie growing pains, still no viable RT and only two l

The Colts are a complete unknown with Anthony Richardson.

They project the typical Jets style offseason onto us because they didnt think quite deep enough. You know the one...  going all out to win a superbowl now with a bunch of random pieces but without a coheseive plan, proven QB, proven staff, or plan for the future. My issue was they never provided better options on what we couldv/shouldve done.

The reality they touched on but mostly missed was the Levis angle. We are building this now with vets on fair market (or even cheap in the case of Boyd) and expiring soon contracts. We are doing that to establish the offense now and for the future - for Levis. Not just to see what we have but also to build him up quickly. You go younger next year when very likely 3 of our top 6-7 WR are gone.

The Sneed gripe was a weird reading of the situation and complained about the cost while it seemed like forgetting he's not 29 now... then tried to correct a bit.

I get picking up injured guys.

I get the coaches never having called plays

I get the strides that need to be made to put all thise together with new players

I get the Levis isn't him yet thing...

But what the fuck else would we even have been able to do?

There was a moment on the Bussin with the boys where Carthon talked about being able to sign veterans with a rookie quarterback.  It made me think that the quick evaluation was that there were too many holes to resign Tannehill.

I’m surprised he’s still in the Nashville area.  I figured he’d be out for good.  Doesn’t he live in Texas?

It seems like a lot of guys with families stay in Nashville & seem to really enjoy it. I was wondering about RT, I was assuming he’d probably go back to Miami but it’s hard to believe he played 6 years each for Miami & us. I felt like he played a lot longer in Miami. His time there was also a shitshow of multiple fired coaches, bullygate, bad talent around him, etc. His first year here he almost takes a 1-5 team to the Bowl & had 2 gigantic seasons. He provided a desperately needed leader that kept the team a contender every year until last. I think he’ll stay in Nashville as his primary residence.

I made a mistake,, he did 7 years in z Miami & 5 here. What a trade that wound up being. Totally random but despite all the amazing games he had in ‘19 & ‘20, I still think the TNF game in ‘22 in Green Bay was his best. He was so accurate that entire game it was just incredible.

It’s hard for a game to be your best when you throw a bad pick during it.  I’d say the Houston 2020 game in Nashville might have been but again he threw a pick in that one too.  The KC regular season game in 2019 was good but the volume of passes was too low.  Maybe Raiders 2019?  I remember there being an early turnover but he was pretty good that day as well.

Maybe not stats wise but outside of that pick he was nearly perfect. It was as accurate a game as I e ever seen. In fact Next Gen Stats graded it the most accurate since they started.

Another thing about RT, one of his big issues in Miami was he threw a bad deep ball. He threw  some incredible long balls here. Way down the field. The one to Burks week 2 last year was  just uncorked.

As far as the actual thread, I think we’ll probably be pretty bad but I love the direction we’re going in. We have a HC who feels WR is a huge priority, I literally never thought this would happen. It seemed most on the board wanted a coach to run the Shanahan offense which I wanted nothing to do with. For one, we ran it since 2018. We changed it up last year but the last thing I wanted was a bevy of more heavy sets, tons of running & play action roll outs. I loved it on 2018  when we were one of 3 teams doing it. Now more than half the league is. We’re gonna see the opposite, tons of shotgun. & spread formations with pocket QB’s having multiple options all over the field.  The bulk of his career was coaching in Peyton Mannings offense:

I also loved the draft. Loved it. If you told me a month before the draft that we’d wind up with Latham over Alt I’d vomit. But once we sent the entire contingent to his pro day it became obvious they loved him. They just never seemed interested in Fashanu. I still didn’t think SD would pick Alt & he is almost a perfect LT prospect but he could have leverage issues. Latham is truly one of the most naturally massive college players I’ve ever seen. His frame is just gigantic & being young he could wind up 10-12 lbs heavier &  a bit leaner in a year. 11 inch hands, over 35 inch arms, he’ll have no problem switching to LT. And I loved the Sweat pick.  The DUI was a concern but it’s laughable how much criticism we got for the pick.  He was EASILY the best interior DL in college last year & is definitely is more than a 2 down run player. He’s an absolute monster, 366 pounds & his brother is Josh Sweat whose a freak. So we have a kid whose almost 400 lbs & is fast twitch. He made a lot of plays in the backfield.

Then you have James Williams whose 6’5 231 drafted to play LB.. For once we drafted some real freaks. One of my big problems with the team was they never drafted outliers, whether it was soeed, size,, we never took the rate player. It was always boring, average athlete solid college players.  Carthon & the staff has a ton of positive energy, they’re excited & they obviously want to bring in athletes who can change games, Im. Not expecting a bunch of wins but I’m so much more excited to see them play than last year……

The one item I can’t wrap my head around though is the RT talk. I have no idea why they’ve basically penciled Radunz in as a guard when he actually played a solid RT last year & now he’s a full year recovered from the

ACL. It blows my mind that it looks like NPF is starting there. Latham will most likely struggle early & if NPF plays like last year the OL could be a disaster again. I still can’t believe his line against Pitt last year……10 snaps,7 hurries, 2 sacks, injured. Has to be the worst game ever played. He’s suspended for gambling,, he’s not practicing,, I don’t get it. Radunz should be the unchallenged starter.
