Around The NFL: Off-Season News and Rumors

Richardson has a fair few problems - namely accuracy and durability - but if he fails it won't be because he is some run first QB that never learns how to play QB. Anyone who believes that has never watched him play. I think his best trait currently is his ability to navigate a pocket; he is extremely adept at side stepping pressure and moving up in the pocket, all while keeping his eyes downfield. He only escapes the pocket when absolutely necessary, never early as you often see in young running QBs, and even when he is outside the pocket, his eyes stay downfield with him regularly finding open WRs (at which point his accuracy often lets him down) or finding an open running lane. And if nothing is there, he throws the ball away which is a trait a lot of young QBs are allergic to.

He has a long way to go, but it can't be overstated how much more advanced Richardson's game is currently compared to Levis.

Good lord. The Colts might be retarded.

50 rushing yards a game for what that worth. My favorite thing though was when he hit the dome at the combine by accident.

A healthy Richardson makes Taylor more dangerous.  I feel the same way about Henry and Lamar.

People forget a healthy rookie RGIII made a no body RB Alfred Morris get 1600+ in 2012.  Same thing with VY and CJ VY's rookie year.

CJ wasn't a Titan VYs rookie season.

They needed a qb after years of misery and mediocrity.  We know this as well (VY experience).  That being said, they are total fools if they don't cut bait if he doesn't show he can either stay healthy or produce at a high level.  Even the Jets realized that Wilson was a bum in his second year.

Sure, but they had Levis right there who was objectively a better prospect. I get that they wanted off of the vet QB carousel but damn did they make a risky pick.

Problem is Colts and Titans will need qbs in the same draft, and Colts are way better at the tank

If this season goes poorly I would not be surprised if they hire a Lovie Smith to lock down that top spot in '26

Statistically if you include his first year, TLaw has been very pedestrian. Jags came in with a plan year two to shorten the field for him and reduce his reads. He's a big Alex Smith tbh. That fucking works if you're Tom Brady.
