I get that, but I thought there was an option for the new team To take on some of that responsibility. The Brock Oswiler(sp?) Trade comes to mind.

Not familiar with those details but it doesn't matter.  Not happening.

About 1 game better than Tanny did under Vrabes.  But then Kaep fizzled.

In other words, outstanding. Plus they did go to the SB and two NFC title games with Kaep

lol 'stellar' even!  Kaep was a less than 60% passer, so not unexpected that he fizzled out.  I'd like to see what they would have done if Smith was left at QB for that one season.

Kinda wild though that Jim H. was the first of the brothers to go the running QB route and then his bro John followed up with Lamar later on.

The media guys who post this bs about Herbert should do some basic research before they expose their ignorance.

Fact....if Herbert is traded in the next few days the Chargers take a 44M immediate cap hit.

It’s not “media guys”, it’s a joke Twitter account

He was 62.5 the year he took over and led the league in yards per pass. He was less than 60 the 12-4 season but still had a 91 passer rating. He did def fizzle out though.

It's crazy that Smith lost his job at 6-2 with a 70& comp ratio and a 105 passer rating

Ya, once Smith got hurt, I think JH just decided to go with the hot hand/legs and rolled with it from there.

This is pretty accurate imo, Kaep very well almost won the SB but SF was loaded and had a great coach and he was also a bad passer.

Also what kind of value to you put on a QB who needs a new contract who is this bad a passer? He's due a new contract

It's funny how people change their narrative 180° in an attempt to salvage their horrible player evaluations.
