Derrick Henry is still an elite back.

It’s also worth noting that Henry led the NFL in rushing attempts and had zero fumbles….something hasn’t happened in almost 40 years.   The last guy to do this was Gerald Riggs way back in 1985.

Look at all those defenders chasing down a rolling tomato can!

Derrick Henry sure seems to get a lot of those "anybody could do it, perfectly blocked plays" ever since he was declared a bum by message board illuminati.    Luckiest back in history, I gue

Durrr, I wonder what would happen if you paired a great RB with a mediocre QB? Durrrr, let me try and think, it's such a tough one.....

If only we had a chance to see this scenario a million times over, including with Henry himself.

Can people really be this retarded?

Did you just call Derrick Henry a great RB?

Of course, he's even better with an incrementally improved run game

The Ravens had the #1 rushing offense last season and the lead RB averaged 8.1 yards per carry

The "lead" RB who never had double digit carries in a single game and less than 400 yards total?

Those straws you've been grasping at are getting pretty short.

Too bad we're always right.  Which of course upsets the retards

Lmao the dumbass mail carrier is never right about anything, especially running backs. He hasn’t gotten anything correct on a running back in like 10 years.

Who cares how the carriers are distributed?

LOL - the 2024 Ravens were 1st in rush yards and 1st in YPC.  The 2023 Ravens were 1st in rush yards, and third in YPC.  2022?  2nd in run yards and 3rd in YPC.  3rd and 5th in 2021.  1st and 1st in 2020.  1st and 1st in 2019.  2nd in yards and 15th in YPC in 2018 (somebody's rookie year).  They simply had RBBC spreading carries out until this year with the 2 down King.

Sensing a pattern here....and it has little to nothing to do with Derrick Henry.  It's almost like they've been awesome running the ball since Lamar Jackson hit the scene.....

IDK.  Lamar played a lot better in the last 2 playoff years than he did prior.  The last drive was pretty much money and not his fault they didn't tie it.

You're not wrong but he was essentially digging them out of the hole he dug them. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't dig them out of Andrews's hole. Someone take Andrews's shoelaces just in case...

Sure - especially the fumble.  On the INT (which didn't result in points), the All 22 seems like he was not expecting Bateman to cut back out but who knows.

Lost in the game was a really shaky DPI vs Baltimore before the half that setup a TD.  IMO that was OPI or a no-call.....

Didn't help them that the Bills played one of the cleaner games I can remember. They were dialed in

Sometime this offseason someone should make a Spears thread asking what happened from year one to year two.

Seems like his performance went down after Henry left.  With Henry on the field, defenses leaned towards stopping him.  Spears on the field, they leaned towards stopping the pass.  Henry is gone, defenses play a bit more honest.  Both years, Spears is backup and is given limited carries.  If I was a hater, I'd say the coaches must know something if both sets of HCs and OCs limit the involvement of Spears.
