So which is worse:   the decision by Capitol Police leadership to refuse National Guard assistance days earlier when there were rumors but no clear and imminent threat of violence….

 

Or a sitting President of the United States  gleefully watching on TV and celebrating as his supporters attacked and overran the nation’s Capitol…and steadfastly refusing to take any action whatsoever?     
 

The day after the attack, Capitol Police leadership resigned in acknowledgment  of their egregious error in judgement.  
 

Meanwhile, a year and a half later, Trump still sees absolutely nothing wrong with his inaction and appalling dereliction of duty and continues to steadfastly defend those who were directly involved with attacking and occupying the Capitol.

regarding the “50%” that you are referencing…..America has a larger problem on its hands and White Supremacy is at the core of it I’m sad to say.  It’s so deep rooted in this country, I’m not sure how it gets resolved but Trump was making it worse so keeping him out is a good start

This argument of blaming Pelosi for the violence at the Capitol, by not doing a better job of securing it, is the silliest argument ever.

I agree with this. is they can reach 5-10% of likely voters this fall or 2024 voters, it could make a difference. The problem is this isn't 1972 Watergate.... They do not have a captive audience. I bet most Americans aren't watching. hell I turned it off after about an hour and my wife is way more liberal and runs in criminal justice circles in D.C, didn't watch a single second of it. Its one thing to get all of this on the public record. its another to think holding 6 primetime hearings over a 3-4 week period will actually change the narrative. Especially on the heels of the Inflation numbers released this morning which are a gut punch to the country.
