You definitely are doing a ton of crying in this thread. It's the cost of business in dealing with the NFL unless you can find an owner who is super rich and isn't the poorest owner in the league. Tourists will be paying for this stadium. The Titans fans who live in Nashville are happy. Some of the Titans/Oilers fans who don't, aren't as happy this morning... wiscotitansfan Posted April 26, 2023 Report Share Posted April 26, 2023 The entire point all along which for some reason people seem to want to argue against is that the NFL doesn't prioritize Nashville enough to the tune of losing out on funding (it's obviously only about money and they aren't looking to give out a entertainment hub discount) and if the city didn't agree to the contract demands that the NFL wants, the NFL will just gladly move to a city that has no problem signing on the dotted line to hand over 100s of millions. Side note: Keeping a team in a city doesn't always have to be about money. Case in point is New Orleans playing the race card after Katrina to stop the move to San Antonio. Versus going back to a declining city like STL. I honestly think you are just trying to be offended and think I am knocking a city. Of course the NFL wants to stay and will try very hard to do so. But in a case like this where the city was trying to stand it's ground financially at the negotiating table putting their own demands into the contract is something the NFL isn't going to consider. The NFL loses no PR whatsoever by telling the world that they are moving to a city that is more in step with them. Teams have left Los Angeles, Cleveland, Houston, St. Louis, San Diego, Oakland and nearly the Boston area over the last 30 years. Nashville's not an exception to that.
