They’re constantly hosting super bowls and the next one they host this year is expected to bring in $600M…. I literally couldn’t come up with a more obvious comparison as to why someone would think Nashville is some great bargaining chip to gain leverage on what the NFL alrwady has access to when they can do whatever they want. Well I get that part but the conversation I thought we were referring to was about advantages of Nashville as a market and $$$ for the league as compared to the San Antonio's / St. Louis's of the world. No. My point was that they already have a handful of cities that accommodate the Super Bowl and other mega events perfectly, they don’t need to potentially lose hundreds of millions in stadium fees and expenses the city won’t subsidize to gain the ability to host large events. Obviously they want Nashville as a market but they’re not gonna give a city special treatment and negotiate away hundreds of millions because they hosted the largest draft Nashville is a great city but they have no leverage on the NFL in giving them something truly unique the NFL can’t do without

ChesterCopperpot1
Got a survey today for the new stadium. Saw some PSL prices. Yikes. I’m getting a $3k credit for my PSLs, but these new PSLs are pricey. FRT
BudsOilers
I saw Buffalo's new stadium got final approval yesterday and they plan on it being open for 2026. Any reason why the Titans stadium can't be on the same timeline instead of 2027?
scine09
Maybe they want their own year and don't want to share it with someone else?

After the corners cut to get the stadium open back in 1999 here, I'm more than willing to have them take a little more time. prometheus, IsntLifeFunny, and ChesterCopperpot1

Buffalo is just building a stadium. Nashville is building a stadium plus completely revamping a large area around the stadium. BudsOilers
That makes far more sense than Scine's reason....

Perhaps there is less competition for subs in western NY.

I guess the biggest thing is there's no need to rush it. There's no Super Bowl available so having it ready in 2026 or 2027 doesn't really matter.
