Jamalisms
It's a Friday heading into a holiday weekend. About time for the SCOTUS to drop and attempt to bury their student loan decision. MadMax
Jamalisms
And there's we go. SCOTUS rules it's too significant to be allowed, which is quite the ideological (not legal) determination. But creating an ideologically driven court is the entire point of the overt hijacking of the SCOTUS nomination process over the past handful of decades and specifically during Obama's term. Nothing surprising, really. pat
LongTimeFan
You take out a loan, you pay it back. Pretty logical.

Demented Biden is not authorized to spend money on student debt. I'm not even for Student loan forgiveness (it was the correct choice to deny it) even if it would help my girlfriend a lot. I'm just pointing out how dumb it is to act like "You take out a loan, you pay it back. Pretty logical." when his idol brags about being such a great businessman does so literally because he weasels out of paying his debts. tgo
There's another Constitutional route the administration can take on this issue, but it will of course be challenged as well. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/potential-plan-b-for-biden-student-loan-relief-messy-untested "If the court rules the education secretary doesn’t have the power to forgive debts for 40 million Americans under the Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students, or HEROES Act, Michael Connelly said the Biden administration will just try again using authority provided by the Higher Education Act and this time go through the proper notice and comment rulemaking process." WG53
Just another way for the wealthy to continue to control society. They can't allow this kind of social mobility. Instead they have to burden down people with debts they can never repay as they tell them their whole lives they can't get a good paying job without it. He wanted this to be a re-election campaign issue…..dems win either way Biden is really good at POLITICS. MadMax
