Of course it would, with ease!

Disagree.  Gorilla is MUCH smarter, absolutely lethal in attack.  Would be down to which scored the first killer blow.  Although I assume we're talkin' full grown, healthy adult Silverback vs a healthy Grizz.

But, if I'm honest, I think it ends in both walking away to avoid a critical wounds.

What does being smarter have to do with anything? Sign language isnt gonna help it kill a full grown grizzly.

Leopards have been known to kill gorillas. A gorilla has no chance against a grizzly. A full grown grizzly can be nearly 3x the size of a full grown silverback.

A gorilla would have about the same chance as a man with no weapon, no chance

The difference is of course that we have concepts of good and evil and still choose to be evil. The other animals as far as we know do not have the concepts of ethics or morality.

im pretty sure cats do. they seek revenge. theres been documented cases where big cats actively hunted and sought revenge against someone who hunted them. they also know their names but dont respond. they do things to intentionally piss you off... and they kill just for sport.
