kyle021
They are all going to be pretty much the same until March when FA begins and cuts happen but the plan is clear. It should be to everyone and it starts with the most important thing. Mariota will be our QB. The dilemma will be if wevdraft one to sit behind MM and a Gabbert. One who could battle Gabbert. That'll depend on MM health before Draft and how we come out of FA. To begin with other positions it’s clear we need an interior OL, DL and edge rushers plus a vet WR and TE. We also have a decision at SS to make. Cyprien or Vaccaro? Signs show both sides want Vaccaro and Cyp is fallback plan. Retain in the following. Vaccaro - 3/12 Pamphile - 1/1.5 Kelly - 3/12 Cut Jonathon Cyprien - SS Ben Jones - C Luke Stocker - TE Extend Byard - 5 years 50 million with 24 guaranteed Ryan - 3 years 24 million with 18 guaranteed FA Frank Clark - OLB/DE - 5 years - 60 million Mitch Morse - C - 4 years - 28 million John Brown - WR - 3 years - 18 million Logan Paulsen - TE - 3 years - 9 million Draft 1) Dexter Lawrence - NT - Clemson We have the edge rushers in Landry, Clark, Finch, Correa... Now we get a man to clog up the middle for the ILB to blitz and stuff the run and one who can also pressure the QB... a rarity. Good kid. Draft stock hurt by unknown substance. Doesn’t strike me as someone to do that again. We get a top 10 talent at pick 19 and a game changer for the front 7. This guy clogging up the middle clearing way for the ILB to do their thing and Casey, Johnson/Jones, Clark/Landry/Finch to get after the QB is paramount. QBs can’t step up in the pocket like they could before. 2) Michael Jordan - OG/OC - OSU Day 1 starter at LG and lucky as can be to be starting between two guys like Lewan and Morse whom will make life extremely easy on him as a rookie. All the intangibles. Big. Strong. Athletic. Versatile. Can play in multiple schemes and is a very good pass blocker and a really good run blocker and is just starting to tap his potential. Can play center in a pinch. Mariota now has an interior OL and bookend OT’s to keep his jersey clean and allow him to manipulate the pocket. A 10 year starter. 3) Darrell Henderson - RB - Memphis Home grown talent. Could be the Kareem Hunt of his draft with more speed. Looks like an everydown back. Oh, and he has averaged 8.9 yards per carry for two straight fucking years. A bit short at 5’10 but built at 210lb and fast like Kamara with wiggle like CJ2K. I like this kid. Lewis will be the 3rd down back, but this kid will be a day 1 contributor and if Lewis is hurt he will see extensive work. If Henry starts slow again... he may even get starter reps. He could even take the job in camp. He is a top 50 talent that dropped into the 80’s. We passed on Kamara once after showing heavy interest and this kid is as close as it comes to him. We won’t do that again. 4) Chase Winovich - OLB - Michigan A high motor pass rusher who really stood out this year and will be a key player for us Incase of injuries and also a rotational guy from the jump behind Finch. Can never have to many guys getting after the QB 5) Easton Stick - QB - NDSU No he isn’t Carson Wentz but he is damn good and could use some polish and watch him grow into a fine #2 7) A return specialist Roster QB - MM, Gabbert, Stick RB - Henry, Lewis, Henderson WR - Davis, Brown, Sharpe, Taylor, Jennings, Batson TE - Walker, Smith, Paulsen, Firkser OL - Lewan, Conk, Kelly, Marz, Jordan, Kline, Pamphile, Morse, Levin DL - Casey, Lawrence, Johnson, Jones, Kilgo OLB - Landry, Clark, Finch, Winovich, Correa ILB - Woodyard, Evans, Brown, Bates DB - Jackson, Ryan, Butler, Sims, Kalu, Byard, Vaccaro, Cruikshank, Lewis, Trawick ST - Succop, Kern, Brinkley, Batson Edited January 16, 2019 by Kyle021 Number9

GOAT9
We shouldnt draft Michael Jordan. He is too old and basketball was his strong suit. Im pretty sure he has his hands full with trying to manage the Hornets. CreepingDeath, and scine09
GOAT9
Also this is just my opinion, but while I think Jordan is a great Shooting Guard. I don't think it translates to Offensive Guard very well. But I could be wrong.
kyle021
I really want to find a way to be selfish and include Jarrett Stidham in here bc I think he will be a franchise QB one day just not right away, but I think the staff gives Mariota one more shot. One more year. They give him the best talent possible and build the entire team to win without him and dominate with him like they started to last year but couldn’t finish until this year, but I can’t find a way for both to happen. Stidham and a complete roster. So so I put myself in the obvious and built around MM and finish this roster and if Mariota can’t get it done in 2019 then I’m doing all I can to get Fromm in 2020. Even if it took a total of 3 first rounders and a 2nd I would do it and nab my QB with a stocked roster outside of Haskins I think Stidham is also a legit franchise QB and if I’m a QB needy team picking top 5-10 I would trade back into the teens and acquire draft capital and take him. I think he can be every bit as good as Kirk Cousins in the right system and he can be a franchise QB. He won’t go round 1 though. Only Haskins and Murray will and maybe Grier. Stidham should be in that tier tier but he will be lumped with Thorson and Finley which I think he blows them away. I think he blows Murray and Grier away and is right there with Haskins. Arizona is going to hit the jackpot when they trade back with the Giants or Jags so one of them can take Haskins and they’ll stay in the top 7 and get multiple 1’s and 2’s and still get an edge rusher or at minimum find themselves with a franchise LT like Williams or Little Edited January 16, 2019 by Kyle021

titanskick8851
Kelly isn’t even a free agent. Also, why Paulsen? $3M a year seems a bit much for a 3rd or 4th string TE.

kyle021
Kelly isn’t a FA? I really thought he was. And Paulsen is a top blocking TE and I don’t think we are drafting a TE this year at all. We need a vet who know the scheme and is ansound blocker. We have Walker and an up and comer in Smith and Firkser. Edited January 16, 2019 by Kyle021

No I just don’t understand why you would sign a non-playmaking 31 year old TE to long term deal for anything more then the vet minimum. You mignt as well bring back Stocker for cheap if you just want a guy who is decent at blocking. I doubt we sign anyone. Only TE we will add would be a young one in the draft and even then I doubt Jrob sees TE as an area of need and attention. Nash
With so many other needs, it would have to be some overwhelming value to take a TE this year..we are rebuilding the interior line on both sides of the ball titanskick8851, and NashvilleNinja

You can can say he is a top blocking TE, but to me that is wasted resources. We don’t even know if he is a fit yet either as we don’t know what offense we will be running. Hopefully it’s relatively the same, but I just don’t see him playing over any of the guys we currently have. You are forgetting MyCole Pruitt as well. He is likely just as good of a blocker as him already and he was starting to make big time plays as a receiver later in the year as well.

oldschool
Clark isn't leaving Seattle. He's a stud pass rusher and is priority #1 for the Seahawks to resign. As for Paulsen, pass. I've watched a lot of Skins games over the years and he offers nothing in the passing game. I honestly can't say he offers more than Pruitt in the run game. You don't pay 3m/year for a guy like Paulsen. titanskick8851
