  1. We'll probably never know the truth. We still don't know what happened with Dodd either...
  2. This offseason for the Jets hasn't been kind.
  3. https://theathletic.com/1945894/2020/07/27/2020-quarterback-tiers-50-coaches-and-evaluators-rank-the-nfl-starters/?redirected=1 “Honestly, if you watched the preseason tape last year, Tannehill vs. Mariota, and you are totally unbiased, Tannehill outplayed him and should have been starting from day one,” an exec said. “We played Mariota twice, beat him both times and he was awful.” Ouch. A former GM on Tannehill: “Great running game, play-action pass —he’s a good quarterback in that type of system,” a former GM said. “He’s an Andy Dalton, maybe a little better because he is more mobile and gives you a better element there. Good play-calling, good scheme fit, a strong three, but you take away the run game, he’s not good enough to get to Tier 2. Definitely more accurate than (Marcus) Mariota.” I think Tannehill is better than what he has been given credit for. I thought he played well in Miami, but just had terrible teams. Discuss...
  4. Agreed, but it makes me feel a bit better about the absence. He's a veteran player, he knows better.
  5. Yep Simmons should become the 3tech. I think the point is that we lost a solid player and didn't replace him with a solid player. I think that's a reason guys want Clowney, to get a player of equal or greater impact than Casey. With that said, Clowney has played 3 tech as well. The guy is crazy versatile and that's why Vrab wants him.
  6. I think the point there is that Casey was a solid interior player that we haven't really replaced. Clowney can play both inside and out, so he could help to upgrade that spot if signed.
  7. Part of me doesn't care anymore, but to trade Casey then not get Clowney will leave me very disappointed. If Casey were still on the roster with the other additions we have so far, I'd be good with that, but I think Clowney with this roster would put us over the top.
  8. I saw that today and immediately thought of this topic. Just lazy and stupid. Embarrassing that he covers the NFL and made that statement. It caused me to go back and check the date on the article, which was today.
  9. Just something to laugh at during the offseason (Clowney thread is getting boring). 53 is one of my favorite titans all time. I got his autograph and chatted with him when I went to the code blue game vs the 9ers years ago. We should retire his number after hearing about this one! I always wonder why it takes so long for stuff like this to come out...
  10. Curtis Jackson should wear number 50 for obvious reasons...
  11. Yeah, I'm positive they'll get him on an nfl regimen and have him drop a bit of weight.
  12. You guys seem to be pros at this, any advice you could give to a novice? I've been doing stock trading for about 8 months and I've had some stocks double in price one quintuple, but I know I still have a ton to learn. Any general advice or good buys for when this is over?
