What about all of the games where the opposing fans filled the stadium in Nashville? It's indisputable that local fan support of the Titans has been historically poor. I get it - between all of the transplants there, poor product, ticket prices - but it's true.

If he plays decent enough in TC/preseason, why not just keep him as the 2 and if he happens to build up his value during the season, he could garner more next March.

The fans did until the team announced they were moving.....then it looked like a Titans home game! The issue was always Houston not wanting to fund a new stadium, something they ended up doing anyway after the Oilers moved to Nashville.
