I went on a date with a woman, and on the first date, she told me all this. She had a long term boyfriend, who dumped her in a pretty callous way. As she was spiraling, she met with the ex's mom, who happened to have a booth at the Ren Faire. In the booth, someone was working on a furry costume. She had recently seen a video about furries, so she recognized it and asked about it. The guy said, "Yeah...lots of crossover between furries and the Ren Faire. Anyway, are you curious about it?" She was, but in a kind of intellectual way. Still, she agrees to go to one of the meetings. She befriends all these 20s and 30s aged gay men, who are all furries. They basically make her a den mother (she's in her 40s). And now she helps run their furry events, which includes making sure everyone got tested before the big furry orgies, etc. She even has her own costume and enters contests. She says she doesn't engage in the sex part, maybe because the vast majority are gay men. But that's her scene now. Life comes at you fast...sometimes it comes over and over, while dressed as an animal. And no, I didn't date her again, though not because of that story, which I thought was pretty fascinating. prometheus Posted August 8 Report Share Posted August 8 I hated the previous T-Rac. Almost as bad - but not quite - as the Vanderbilt horrible Commadore mascot. Both too stupid comedic costumes. The new Titan mascot costume is so much better except for the eyes. When comparing, I can tolerate this one. I do agree, however, that I would prefer a Titan-related mascot.
