...and why the pearl clutching about where his feet are pointing is overreacting.

He's never going to have textbook mechanics. Can he improve? Absolutely, and he should. But you also don't want to coach out of him what makes him special.

Yep. The pocket mechanics are the most troubling part. He has to start moving up into the pocket instead of bailing outside so much.

Welp there it is lol

lol PK posted AI slop and had to delete it    it was a graphic of the 30 most important titans at training camp this year and feature notable titans such as Jared Verse, Jaylon Johnson and N

It would be pretty ideal if Latham is making strides to becoming the OT he was drafted to be and Carmona is a solid starting rookie.

Curious to see how Daboll handles the slot position with Robinson unlikely to play on Saturday Night after being obliterated by Xavier Woods today. Does Daboll just bring in Restrepo to play the slot like they had him doing a bit today before Robinson was hurt or is it Dike.

"He's missing a bunch of standard, easy throws with / because of bad mechanics but he made a one-off throw on the run so don't worry about it" ...?

No one would care about his unorthodox mechanics if he was more consistently accurate but his throwing motion and footwork will be rightfully picked apart while he continues to badly miss wide open layups.

Exactly

The two places I'm seeing after watching the video is the feet issue is still live, but this place where he's throwing on first read and then scrambling outside of the tackles is the part that worries me the most. Fixing your feet mechanics isn't overly tough unlike changing actual throwing motion. The one read and bail isn't going to cut it in the NFL.

He's also leaving his read before play develops and focusing on the wrong read instead of going to the correct read. It honestly looks like his reads are intuition based, ie, random. I hate feeling this way and seeing this

He's a second year QB who had these issues coming out and is now on his 3rd offense in his second year, one he's never ran. Give him time. He's got the skill set and attitude. There's issues, but none of them are terminal.

Not terminal, no. I still believe in him. But this shit is elementary.

Like whatever is wrong with him at this point in his career, I, a layperson, shouldn't be able to easily articulate. This is a professional. He's not a 20 yr old rookie either. Not even a rookie and he's throwing like he's playing backyard ball with the grandkids
