I'd be willing to bet that Borgonzi has planned out who he takes in rounds 2-5, based on next years draft..

You're smarter than that.

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

Old? 53 will be “coming” up soon.” The ladies of the world will be laughing as usual.

I'm sure they swoon when they see the turkey neck and ball cap with the drooping eyes. Post it for us again, champ.

Missing two starting OL and a TE while just adding Bellinger and Robinson as skill players isn't near enough.  You could almost argue that at this point it's a step back from a team that averaged 17 points per game.  Not to mention that the team didn't have any elite skill players to begin with.

TN is not getting it all in one yr.

The one requirement for a coach was their plan to develop and support Cam. I am confident Saleh's pitch wasn't a killer defense and Robinson.  I don't give a shit about the defense except how it supports Cam... Cam's development is the only thing that matters.

Defense alone does not support Cam.  Period.

I don't get why people think that us going ham in FA on defense means that's what we're going to do in the draft.

2027 draft has 3-4 QB's, 4-5 WR's, 4 RB's all projected as first rounders..

As much as I've been on the Jeremiah Smith train, you can't draft according to the projections for future drafts. If this past season didn't teach anybody that lesson idk what would. All the trade back for a haul people could talk about last year at this time was how loaded this year was going to be at QB and how we'd be able to afford passing on Cam.

You have to draft for where you are, not for where you think you're going to be because you don't know where you're going to be. Or where anyone else is going to be.

I keep going back to this quote

"For Cam, the best way to develop a quarterback is to give him a team that doesn't make him feel like he has to be Superman, at least early on," Saleh said. "There is going to be a time as Cam continues to develop where he can put this entire organization on his shoulders, and lead it to a win. But asking that of a young kid I think is unrealistic. So, building a structure for him that doesn't ask him to be Superman 60 plays a game will be at the front of our minds.

"(We have to) make sure that we support him with the proper defense, the proper run game."

Yep.. That is what I assume Saleh sold the FO on.. and will be the plan this year. Love seems the most likely way to do that even if its not Love... its not going all defense and saying go offense next year. No fucking way

Tate no question. RB just isn't as valuable without a great OL and weapons in the passing game. To play devil's advocate, if you told Love was guaranteed to be the next Gibbs I might do it.

That's the reason I'm taking Love. I think that's his best comp. Better hands but doesn't have the extra gear. He's also a lot better in pass pro coming into the league and has a more natural build for being a 25 touch player, whereas you have to put Gibbs on somewhat of a touch restriction.

The other end is that I don't see Tate as a 1400 type receiver. He's a really good #2 or a solid #1.

The other side for me is that I simply don't have a good read of how the top pass rushers translate. I love Bain's strength, technique, and tenacity. He's going to be a good player, but he's limited. Bailey disappeared against good competition. Reese is an unknown with elite measurables. If you think any of those guys are star pass rushers and they're there at 4 then they're the pick.

How many 1400 yard a year wrs are there? 3 or 4? I can only think of 3, chae, JJ and puka. Even stbrown o ly averages 1250

Neither. Love never did well against really good defenses and neither did Tate for that matter. If you want an offensive player then trade down
