Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Borgonzi would be terrible if he didn't play up guys in an effort to generate trade noise. I don't know why you guys hang on every word of these pressers. just because Jrob was an idiot who telegraphed his picks doesn't mean Borgonzi is.

Good thing we only have 1 week left till we find out.

Not that I overly care which of the 5 most likely options Borgonzi takes but it would be kind of funny if it was Styles given how many here are totally writing off his chances of being the pick.

If I had to guess he isn't trading out of #4 and has a couple of guys on his board too good to pass on.

You know you'll be in position to get one of your top 3 guys. If he feels good about any of the 3 I don't see him trading back. It's not just about getting extra picks. When you trade back you're doing it with specific targets in mind for the later picks and the farther back you drop the harder it is to feel confident your target guy(s) are still going to be there.

I’m surprised people are watching this like something to still be picked apart.  It kind of makes me laugh  the confirmation bias aspect of it.

I don't think the results next week validate what Borgonzi said today at all. He's not tipping his hand to a bunch of reporters and draft nerds. Dude is a professional.

It kind of makes me think there won’t be as many trades in round one near the top when everyone says that the value (top tier players) drops off after the top 8.

I'm sure the Titans have gamed out multiple scenarios. even bad GMs like Carthon do this. They know who they want at #4. They know who they are willing to pass on in a trade scenario. They know who their 2nd and 3rd choices are at #4 and they know what events will trigger those scenarios.

Unless Jerry Jones does a Jerry Jones thing.. which is what I think teams are trying to get

I think he wants to trade up but he doesn’t want to give up both 1s.  Or he could just stay put and pick .  His team isn’t one impact defender away.  They still need multiple pieces .

New Orleans seems more likey based on past history /GM patterns .

The trade down scenario is interesting because the Titans are unlikely to pass on the 2 guys teams would most likely move up for in Bailey or Reese. Which is why it makes a ton of sense for Borgonzi to praise Love and Styles, Tate, etc... in effort to see if teams want to talk about coming up for them as well.

My personal opinion is that Borgonzi will take Bailey or Reese if they are there. I would be surprised if he took Love or Styles but wouldn't hate it. Same with Tate although I think #4 is too high for him.

That totally makes sense and as I think you noted-  they dont have a lot of capital to give up. BUT -  its also jerry jones.  Last year Jags did something crazy. .could Cowboys this year?  Its possible.   I dont mind Titans trying to draw out possible crazy deals.

But I think they'll probably end up standing pat. I think if Cowboys trade up- Browns are a more reasonable spot.

Of course he would.

Daniel Jeremiah on Path to the Draft the other day bluntly said that Bailey would not get past the Titans at #4 and that was his absolute floor.
