Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

I still think they have to upgrade both lines first and foremost.....

Edge and OL. They need an immediate starter at center and RG and a replacement for Moore

You can't fix everything at once and also ignore everything else. Moore sucks, but addressing him can probably wait. RG and center are more immediate needs, but even then those two spots can be spaced out. You may not need to address center until maybe early day 3 as there seems to be a number of good candidates. And there are 2 or 3 guys they could look at for RG in the 2nd or 3rd round.

The pushback as far as edge goes is does it really need to be "first"? It seems cheap to include Jermaine Johnson in that list considering he was still recovering from the injury and the fact it's the Jets. And we still need to see what's there in Femi now that he'll have his hands in the dirt.

People say the draft for edge this year is deep but is the drop off from Bailey/Bain that great to 2nd round guys like Zion Young, Malachi Lawrence, & Gabe Jacas? Also, what does the 2027 edge class look like?

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Someone is going to use that same stupid you can line him up at wr line, but then you don't have a rb, you have a mediocre wr lol.

You remember when they were saying that about CJ when we drafted him? Draft media & fans just looked at his 40 & said he’s going to be just as dangerous motioning him out to WR. Never mind that he had 7 inch hands & was the most awkward pass catcher I’ve ever seen. He looked like he was catching a beach ball.

The only RB ever that was a legit WR, by that I mean could lineup & get separation against DB’s was Marshall Faulk for a few years in St. Louis. He was incredible. Other than that all you can really ask for in a back from that perspective is very sure hands & good, quick awareness after the catch.

And even if you get a rb who can lineup as a good wr, when you do that you no longer have a RB.

Mina talked about the pass catching running back argument in that clip. Bijan was the second best receiving running back in EPA and he was still behind ELIC AYOMANOR lol

Not that that’s the best way to look at things. Stressing defenses in different ways matters obviously. But it’s just not nearly as good of a justification as everyone on the Love Train wants to make it out to be.

This way most of us are a little mix of disappointed but satisfied.

I gota go back and look into some more of these 50-100 range edge guys. Been sp set on top of the 2nd and looking at other positions later I haven't given them their due really.

You have to take who is there- not who you wish is there. There's no top Edge guy for the Titans at 4- imo.   I think its Love- not because anyone wants to invest a cornerstone piece in RB but bc he's the only cornerstone, playmaking level talent that's in this draft (that's not a qb).

I think the board is discounting Bain a bit here. This is just my opinion but I think there’s a much better chance that we pick him than he drops significantly. The arm length is obviously an issue but in totality he’s a no doubt top 5 guy in this draft. He has everything else in spades, play strength, violence, effort & most importantly hands & technique. He was absolutely dominant last year. He was also pretty dominant as a true freshman which is a great indicator of pro play.

Floor is also an important factor. It’s not exciting but I can live with an 8-10 sack guy that gets a lot of pressures, shuts down the run game & basically causes a lot of issues for offenses.

Here is where we are in terms of edge rushers

That’s all you really need to know.  32 on edge rusher with a defensive head coach that likes to call the plays and rush 4 and play coverages.
