Just remember that I sad the improvement would marginal if there was any at all and that the Patriots would dominate us. You said I was over-selling the mismatch and that the offense would be be better. Things worked out a lot closer to what I said than what you said. This will continue to happen. The offense was clearly better by all observable metrics including scoring. Once they defense collapsed to end the half and to start the 3rd, they were in a hole they couldn't dig out of. After a half of seeing it, the opposing defense figured it out and completely shut it down. We saw the offense operate at a high level in the 4th quarter vs the Cardinals and that didn't last either. We changed play-callers and got worse. The we fired the HC/OC and still scored only 13 points while pretty much getting shut out in the 2nd half. The small tweaks are nice; they won't substantially change anything and because of this people will continue to find others to blame. I'm saying that I'm sick of the blame game and would rather have discussions about how we can improve this roster because that's what actually matters. Fully accepting where we are goes hand in hand with stopping the hunt for the next villain to blame for our issue. I guarantee you another villain will emerge by season's end. Fans can't help themselves. They should have scored on their first 4 possessions. That isn't a marginal improvement. Comparing that to the 4th quarter against prevent is trying to take away from what happened on the field. Ward was 11/14 for 140 yards and a TD in the first half. That was by far the best the offense has looked all year. They collapsed after the best player on the team went down. You're acting like that isn't a big deal and not noteworthy. oldschool, and Number9

So much better that they won the game? So what? None of it is sustainable because we're not good enough to sustain regardless of who is coaching. That's what I've been trying to tell you guys. You guys keep telling me I'm wrong but the same things I say are going to happen continue to happen. It's been like this since Vrabel. The roster is so much bigger of a problem than anything else that most other discussions seem tangential at best.

As someone who hasn’t lived in the area in over 20 years, titanscentral and now titans report has kept me more in the loop than any Tennessean/ESPN/podcaster/blogger ever has. So cheers to @TitansGuru for keeping the lights on and countless tools for users to curate their experience, the hands off moderation by the mods and those who contribute to make this what it is. The media landscape here has never been good, but it is the worst it has ever been. It is going to take sponsors pulling ads and ratings being even worse than what they are now to effect change. I am not asking for the media to be sunshine pumpers. We know the team stinks and we know the team has problems. What we are asking for is for you to stop trolling us and the team and to quit trying to cosplay as a hot take artist. You're not Stephen A. You're now Cowherd. You're not Bayless. You're never going to be those guys, so quit acting like it. Callidus

They scored 13 points. They got blown out. The fans were chanting the name of the coach we fired 3 years ago. They've looked decent for other stretches of time throughout this season and even last season; that means little. We haven't turned any corners. Just by the nature of the NFL we might even win a game or two. The worst coach of all time in Callahan managed to win one this year and 4 last year so it's possible but it means NOTHING. Having some nice stretches and even a win or two means next to nothing. This team has no meaning outside of watching the young players develop and getting ready for the draft. Not sure what the issue here is. no one is saying the offense is now on par with the 99 Rams. But its flat out wrong to claim the offense didn't look better with the changes they made this week. Once they were down 18 halfway through the 3rd, the game plans goes out the window and now they have to pass which exposes the OL and lack of weapons. Normal shit.... This woe is me the roster is so bad we can't be honest about the incremental and positives from the game or worse, acting like the Pats figured it out and shut them down because the talent is bad is just plain wrong. Two things can be true; 1. The roster sucks and gets exposed especially when down big 2. the tweaks made led to improvement for the offense and the QB IsntLifeFunny

It's stop coping and holding on to phantom improvement that isn't really happening. Any improvement that is even possible is likely weeks away. It's stop looking for other people to blame. In the game thread yesterday people already decided that McCoy is terrible because of that decision not to be more aggressive (I disagreed with the decision btw). Some are saying Cam is suddenly not ready to play, Whispers about firing Brinker have started. It's annoying. We're not going to fire our way out of this. cenj
In regards to Dike and Ayomanor, we don't want to expect those guys to become the future #1 and #2 WRs next year and then feel we are good at WR. This team should keep drafting WRs in the middle rounds that they can develop into competent players. That is what takes time when building a roster. Borgonzi will need to consistently bring in talent who can be developed. If we have good young players in place, then the rookies won't be pushed into starting roles. They can take their time, learn the playbook, carve out smaller roles while developing. Do that year over year, and you have a real NFL roster where guys can step up and the offense can remain productive, and you can allow good players (but not stars) to leave without overpaying. We have a dearth of talent right now that needs both better starters, but also better depth. Next year will be better. Somedude

TerryBoats
Seeing how comically incompetent the Titans have been both before and after he arrived, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Jon Robinson get another chance somewhere - which GMs rarely do.
