I'm not saying I agree with the decision, but there were actually pretty strong gusts. It wasn't just breezy. It sounds like after discussing with Bones they decided it wasn't worth trying a long FG and giving the Patriots a short field if they missed it. Again...not saying I would have made the same decision, but I can see the reasoning.

I listened to it, his explanation was fine but I hate the move there. No issues with the run on 1st down, fairly common tactic to see if you can pop one but shutting it down after that was weak.

PK said the Titans should have "honored" Vrabel and he and Buck went to Vrabel's postgame presser instead of the Titans   That's some seriously embarrassing cock gobbling   Honor h

It's panic time for Latham. He's got to improve the rest of the season. As of right now he looks like someone who needs to be replaced

They could have driven the field to try a long touchdown pass. They had decent field position and all their time outs. If there was ever a time to go up tempo it's then.

There's also the possibility they go 3 and out without running much time off the clock and the Patriots end up getting a FG before half. Again...I'm just saying there's an argument to be made.

Speaking of Lyons, he just called out Buck for his comments he made on his show this morning about Titans fans "weird obsession" with Mike Vrabel. Buck, the guy who went to Vrabel's press conference yesterday and was basically tag teaming with Russini to scob his knob all last week.

Gotta say I appreciated that from Lyons.

It was pretty funny and deserved towards Buck and PK. Maybe they are hoping to get a job over in NE soon.

I noticed you've decided that the 4th quarter vs the Cardinals doesn't count in order to make yesterday seem like the only time we've looked competent. I understand why you're doing this but just know I disagree on how much you're dismissing that 4th quarter sequence as meaningless. Mere weeks ago, most here thought it was something the team could build on.

As far as Cam, I definitely think that it affected the fumble but I also think that the outlet getting taken away so quickly contributed to it as well. If you re-watch the play, you'll see that Cam actually had some time to get the ball off but the Pats took Chig away on the outlet after being beaten on a very similar play by Helm on the first play of the game. He panicked some but I also think a part of it was him trying to get the ball out without getting it batted by Chaisson.

Bro I never said it was meaningless. I said they were playing prevent defense besides the last drive, which is a fact.

Yeah, but it's a bad argument because it's coaching scared. We just fired a guy who had that as a staple of his approach. You'd think we'd want to distance ourselves from that a little bit.

The fact that you keep asking me to "admit" that there was improvement despite me multiple times saying that things looked better early on yesterday indicates to me that you want more than a simple "admit" they looked better. You want me to say that they looked significantly better, that they looked better directly because of the coaching change, and that this improvement is an indication of future improvement. I refuse to go anywhere near that far because I don't believe any of those things are true. I think we did look better and most of it was due to the opposing defense having to adjust to a brand new offensive approach from the one they'd seen on film. Once they adjusted, things didn't look much better than they have all season. Even bad teams can at times and for stretches play above the baseline but inevitably they do return to that baseline. We watched it happen over the course of yesterday's game.  But we'll see shortly who is right. I felt confident the Pats would stomp and despite your refusal to admit it, I was right. I feel confident about this too.

This is what gets me and where I think you are wrong. Once we went down 11 we tried to stick with the offense and it turned into a disaster because the DE didn't bite on the play fake and they sniffed out the leaking TE. That's called situational football. From there on out we were chasing points and it's a completely different situation. It's not like all the sudden they shut down what was working. They knew PA was coming and blew up the game.

The clear implication is that it matters much less than what we saw yesterday. My point has been that yesterday was not the only time we've seen the team look competent for a small stretch of time and thus the idea that yesterday was meaningful is not definitive.

Good offensive tackles have slow starts to their careers all the time. The Joe Alts of the world are extremely rare.  Guys like Andrew Thomas, Garrett Bolles, and Dion Dawkins were all REAL bad. I’m not saying I think he’s gonna be amazing or not (who knows), but we’ve seen flashes of greatness and it’s just way too soon. The reason the teams like the eagles, packers, ravens, colts, and bills etc always seem to have good offensive lines is because they let guys develop no matter the early results.

I could be bias since i didnt like him coming out. I thought there was a good chance he would end up a guard. And while not ideal I do think he would be a great guard ala skronski.

You could be right though, he can still turn things around. His path has not been ideal, switch sides, then switching again, and then hurt.

The 100% worse thing this fanbase can do it start blaming Cam.  This is a team talent issue.  bc was bad, no doubt about it.  I don't know if chopping off the head and attaching the arm to the neck is going to work.

My guy, you just described an adjustment. They realized we were overly-reliant on PA and took it away.  That's literally an adjustment. We scored exactly 0 points in the 2nd half after scoring 13 in the first; that doesn't qualify as shut down in your book?

Buck went absolutely off on AAS on his show last night. Even I thought he went a bit too far and at least danced on the line of being disrespectful. AAS is not my favorite person right now but she's not a villain either.

Finally. yes there was incremental improvement, hopefully it is sustainable and the young guys get reps they sorely need. I'm not going to argue with you on the notion the Pats adjusted and shut the offense down in the 2nd half. Simply didn't happen.

The finally is unnecessary as I'd already said it multiple times. If yesterday's performance was a political poll it was a 52-48 that they improved which looks promising until you realize that the poll has a +/- 4%.

Well it matters less. How much is dependent onones view. But yes, it matters less when you put up points against prevent than regular defense.
