Being aggressively pursued gives the power to the one being pursued. More power= better positioning to negotiate from, which is fine as long as the pursuer doesn't mind paying a premium. Hot chicks don't have to pick the fat guy with glasses.

Like I said before if its Nagy then fucking man up and treat him like the guy. Lean into it. They will never convince the fans and media the  process wasnt a sham so might as well just own it and be strong in your convictions he's the guy.

Here is my thing with Nagy. No one else is going to hire him as HC. If McCarthy/Stefanksi/Hafley/Harbaugh are off the board, then no rushing is necessary to make this hire. 
 

Continue your process. Get some others in that you may have originally ruled out   (Weaver, Campanile, Kubiak-virtual, etc.).

Right, just fucking do it already. This dog and pony show is fucking embarrassing. I've lost some respect in Borgonzi in this whole process if it turns out it was Nagy. Not because of Nagy, but because of the way it played out. I could respect if he had said fuck it and hired him the day after the last game.
