I think the initial candidate list will look something like this:

Tier 1

Matt Nagy

Arthur Smith

Kevin Stefanski

Tier 2

Jeff Hafley

Mike McCoy

Robert Saleh

Tier 3

Kliff Kingsbury

Jim Schwartz

Vance Joseph

Dennard Wilson

Tier 1 and Tier are hot garbage

It happened to a lot of good coaches with HOF QBs during the Brady reign.  Payton/Brees for example.

So QB that consistently finished second in MVP vs the QB that won 4.  Not exactly the same, and I like Brees.

Yeah some of these are kind of weird .  Dennard Wilson shouldn’t be on any tier . Even if you go by just a Rooney Rule compliance , there are better candidates.

McCoy and Saleh are maybe too high.  And Kingsbury is too low.

Saleh is the most intriguing guy to me I guess but it’s not a very inspiring list. There would be a ton of guys like Klayton Adams and what not who I would have been excited about in the past but there’s no way they take a shot on an offensive guy who has never failed played again as long as Amy continues to over rule people

Saleh is a dumber Vrabel.  I think he's a pretty good coach though
