Thumbtack Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Some tension in Minnesota with O'Connell, and now we have the Wentz fiasco. Wonder if he might be a surprise fire this off-season. DCTitan, titanskick8851, and BeedoeLaw

Everything I saw was O'Connell didn't want McCarthy. He had Wentz playing through a dislocated shoulder, a torn labrum and a fractured socket for 2.5 games while McCaffrey had a sprain ankle..... Did you see the clip MCCarthy(Not McCaffery!) jump over the guy on the side line? That ankle is fine japan
Bongo59 Posted yesterday at 12:02 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:02 PM Easton Freeze is pushing Saleh hard for TN and he would be a terrible pick for HC. He is a DC and a DC alone.
ctm Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM “Saleh is the best signing we’ve ever had,” All-Pro tight end George Kittle said at his locker after Sunday’s victory over the Falcons. “I’ve been saying that since OTAs. It’s not just how smart he is, but his juice. He’s inspirational. He’s great in meetings. His energy is infectious, every single day. And he gets our young guys ready.” Added quarterback Brock Purdy: “Saleh brings a different kind of energy to the building, and he’s dialing it up. He’s really, really smart, and it’s helping us a lot.” “What I noticed during training camp is that yes, Saleh’s back, but his defense couldn’t be more different than when he was here before,” veteran fullback Kyle Juszczyk said. “It’s evolved so much. It’s not just ‘rush four and play Cover 3 behind it.’ He mixes up looks more, he disguises things and he blitzes more. And it’s totally working.” https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6734853/2025/10/24/robert-saleh-49ers-defensive-coordinator-jets-head-coach/ Apparently some of the offensive guys like him as well. When you get a QB playing at the level Darnold was last year and win 14 games, usually the HC wants to stay the course. McCarthy to me was a massive reach. he didn't play much in college and when he did, he didn't pass that often. He has world's of talent that pops on tape but he's a very raw QB

Nothing set in stone obviously but The two guys I'd like to see them consider are Saleh and Kingsbury. I think the next guy has to have former HC experience and be able to speak specifically on what they would change from their previous gig like Quinn did when interviewing for the Skins job. It can't be lip service like McCarthy lying about reviewing game film and embracing analytics to get the Cowboys job. No particular order at all all: Robert Saleh with a strong OC Mike McCarthy Kliff Kingsbury
