I know he’s a blowhard, but he’s got someone in the building that leaked the Vrabel AND Ran firings to him ahead of time. Don't forget his inside info about Aaron Rodgers... Callidus
I was just thinking, if we give the Callahan's their pink slips, sho gets custody of bertha and the other blocking sled?

But the night before Ran got fired PK said he would be back and Stillman was adamant he was out. Either way, this sucks. I hope the next guy is the right guy. Well the last time it happened (where an interim coach was promoted & extended) was Fisher during the 2005 season. So, whereas Mike McCoy might be a logical choice now...I'm bothered by the fact that he was hired (before the season) to give Callahan someone else other than Holz to consult regarding the offensive play-calling...right? So...did something happen internally to change that then that, maybe, went unreported? Edited September 22, 2025 by oracle

He hasn’t proven he can do either much less both. Something needs to change. He looks a like deer caught in headlights. He is conservative when he should be aggressive and the opposite is true too. So if he isn’t going to get fired, someone else needs to call the plays. Maybe he can manage the game without play calling though I have my doubts. This is why the front office guys have way more skin in the game than anyone is mentioning. Callahan should have been stripped of game day play calling. Being away 3 weeks in a row sets up an embarrassing situation for AAS when Vrabel comes back to town. and Nihill got booed out of the building when he introduced Mike Keith for Ring of Honor at half time. really a shit show right now. titansfan
Can't imagine father Callahan staying on board if son Callahan gets relieved. So awkward that it's kinda unprofessional

He wants to be the type of head coach who controls playcalling-- it'll be better to just let him go then ask him to do a full philosophical shift while in contact. Let him go and get the opportunity to develop as a playcaller some place else. I think Callahan will be a head coach again in the future. Hes smart enough and well liked enough, and his next employer will see his experience as Titans head coach a a positive (after some time passes) because there's no substitute for HC experience japan

Face
WTF is the point of keeping BC if he can’t call plays? Wasn’t that the whole reason we hired him? To get a young offensive wiz who can call plays so we don’t have to worry about losing the play caller? Which by the way is the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard. We can’t hire a defensive guy as HC cause in a year or two when we’re kicking ass the OC is going to get hired away!! LOL. That’s friggin ideal if we’re in a spot where people want to hire our guys. That & the whole “collaboration” shit literally gives me nightmares. OILERMAN

I know he's not going to have a lot of cache at this point, and he'd emphasize that building a team is above his pay grade, but he at least publicly had coach's back. If he wants Callahan here how much would the brass listen? You don't ask your rookie QB what he thinks of the situation. You have him in mind and you discuss the situation with him, but you're not asking his opinion.

Popular Post IowaOiler
I'm officially out on both Callahan's. That was one of the most poorly managed games I've ever had the misery to watch (and I've been watching Marmol manage the Cardinals for 3 years now). The fiasco before the half should be a fireable offense on it's own. I do think Borgonzi and Brinker are the right people moving forward...Dike, Ayomanor, and Ward all appear to be game-changers, and Femi looks solid as well. The issue on offense is the play-calling, the OL, and Ridley being unable to catch a fucking ball. The defense is a shit-show...we can't even tackle, which is the most basic thing a defense needs to be able to do. I watched ESPN's Top Ten and the Taylor TD run where he broke 5-6 arms tackles, was #3....and it was way out-of-place considering how poorly we tackled all game. Pathetic tackling, poor game management, and the insane penalties are all on coaching. Ward is a stud with hero-ball tendencies, but he's the man and should be here for a couple decades....BC needs to go. I personally think they wait until after the Houston game and if we get embarrassed there, he's gone. I was trying to practice patience, but the offense is anemic and the coaching decisions were some of the worst I’ve seen in a long time. I’m disappointed because I was excited to see what Callahan would do with a functioning QB, but he can’t get out of his own way. Such is life. Bring on the next HC. Woodvegas
I was at the game yesterday. The defense eventually just quit, no fire in them. There are just too many episodes of coaching malpractice. I don't think the players have any confidence in the coaching staff.
