I still feel bad about that---dude got railroaded....I drank that semen cup WILLINGLY.

We got some guys that were highly requested.

Womack is a ball hawking slot   Armour-Davis is a long outside corner.

The X WR role is going to be split between Jefferson, Ayomanor, and Oliver. It will be interesting to see how the snaps/targets break down as the season goes on.

Will Lockett be on a snap count to help keep his legs fresher?

I’m high on Elic. It’s inexperience due to getting football later in life and living in Canada. He should improve bigly.

Also had a good number of injuries. I wasnt a fan when people were talking about him as a 2nd round pick, way to inconsistent. But as a 4th almost 5th rounder sign me up.

He has looked pretty good so far. Hard to really judge till the offense is really out there and not limited to 2-3 series.

He’ll mostly be in the slot so I doubt he will need a snap count any more than any other WR

I don’t know if I love Lockett in the slot. He has the physical profile of a slot but he’s basically been a9 route, deep post outside guy his entire career. Though Cam does throw great deep seam routes which could really work if Lockett still has his juice.

Locket deep has to be called judiciously, no more than 2-3 times a game, some games not at all, depending on what the defense is doing to cover etc.. maybe he’s in 2 drives, rests for 1 , and back in .. going deep are what Ridley, Jefferson, Ayomanor, Dike , and Oliver are for.  He’s changing from a deep play guy to a slot receiver.. think Marvin Harrison type plays

Ward really throws the deep seam route well. I’m expecting a lot of vertical routes from Lockett from the slot.

I have to say though, I’m still shocked by the burst Van Jefferson showed. He has real juice.

We have competent Wide Revivers. Calvin Ridley is competent, as is Lockett. But we have no competent pass rushers.

Sorry, I'm not counting on Lockett as anything more than a decent WR3 for maybe a year until he shows me that he isn't washed up.

We've seen better and higher profiled receivers come here at 32 and totally fall off a cliff, and saying that, I have even less faith in what Lockett looks like projecting into the 2026 season at 33.

Ridley also turns 31 this year with an out in his contract next summer.

The fact that these are the names you're bringing to the table to defend the corpse that is this WR core is astonishing.

If Edge is priority #1, WR isn't all that far behind.

Are you forgetting they drafted two WRs?

...in the 4th round. Considering they haven't even taken their first regular season snaps yet the jury is still completely out on them.

The WR group is a lot better than the edge group. It isn't a close second. Ridley is still in his prime and is a 1200+ receiver if he stays healthy. Behind him is rookies and an aging Lockett. Not great but usable. The same cannot be said for our edge group.

I mean.. the goal is to train up the younger guys. So I expect him to be the primary in the slot early and then as the season goes on hopefully someone (Dike? Oliver?) starts to step up and take snaps from him.
