If Hance is as decent as everyone claims, Duncan has improved, Cush comes back (that is a big if with the Achilles), and Jackson Slater develops during the season, that is a pretty solid 9 offensive linemen if you add Levin. That is not a bad spot to be in. I actually watched Duncan on a few pass snaps. I know he was against backups, but his technique was much improved. Beathard is no solution at backup QB. It’s going to be Allen Anyway, now they need more camp RB depth with Spears out. Plus maybe another LB to replace Orji. That is the inverse of their depth chart from last week. Teams want positional versatility with their WR backups. NWI could play every WR role. It's not a good look, but at least Jefferson had Allen throwing him the ball. I just wonder what the 22 will show. How open were they on their routes? If Allen/Boyle were even remotely qualified to play in an NFL game what would the statline have looked like? ...oh wait, Jefferson had Ward? Hmm While I don’t think Van is certainly safe, his snap count doesn’t matter cause he’s a vet and he hasn’t been working with 3rd string for weeks IsntLifeFunny

Just saying they need another body there that can actually run the offense unlike Boyle, otherwise it's hard to evaluate the depth chart. Allen and Beathard about the same in terms of quality. Neither very good backup prospects, but that's not even relevant. If Ward goes down, you're gunning for draft position. Just need guys in the room to help Ward and run the offense. But even if they weren't on what planet is it strange to discuss the performance of players that we just watched play when recapping our thoughts on the game? Please walk me through this because I'm having a hard time understanding why this seems so alien to you. I get what you are saying in this. Yes these guys aren’t starters and they aren’t scheming. But some of these guys are going to make the roster and play. And they didn’t look good in terms of skill level or make plays . I only watched a quarter and a half (or however long Ward was in the game). And from what I say they got sealed off the edge a few times and TB moved the ball at will and the defense looked slow in general I saw Brownlee make a play and I thought Oladejo flashed a few times on pass rush even though he didn’t get a sack. Those were the positives I saw. Edited August 10, 2025 by rns90 Mythos27

Stan
We lack talent across the board especially pass catchers, linebackers, tight end and running back and backup QB. I give us 3-4 wins at the most. I can see us splitting games against the jags and colts getting swept by the Texans.

Stan
All I know is Ridley is a 1600-1700 yard type of guy and we MUST feed him the ball. He can get open he’s quick in space and has a huge catch radius. Get him the ball, the guy has so much potential in this offense as the clear cut number 1.. it’s not even close. Guy is primed to have a huge year . Mythos27, and IsntLifeFunny

I heard my guy repeat the Titans were first in yards allowed meme and shook my head. I wasn't a dick about it, but I told him the stat was absolutely worthless. The defense gave up points in bunches and were easily dispatched by good QBs. I do however see us getting into shootouts fairly often. rns90
