Even if he doesn't develop into a consistent pass rusher, he'll be a good run defender with many effort sacks and TFL - similar to Landry.  But considering the way he beats OL 1 v 1, he could definitely be more.

he's been getting g his ass kicked i. 1 on 1 s until today.

Brad Hopkins and Ramon Foster have also been mentioning how much better Duncan looks this year.

Will be interesting to see if its a case of him facing a weak group of 2nd string Titans EDGE guys or whether he also looks better in these joint practices and preseason games over the next couple of weeks.

He has all the physical tools. Seems to be studious and ambitious. His strengths are JC's weaknesses and vice versa. I expected him to develop faster, but if he's ready mid season to take over or even just fill in for a few games, that would be HUGE

On that second tweet, Melo said on hsi and Graver's podcast that if Dike can do the job over Proche he could see where it'd make sense to jettison Proche in favor of Restrepo even if he was technically outperforming him as a receiver. The thinking is why keep a journeyman JAG over a developmental rookie with potential and a connection to with the QB?

But I'd say that principle probably applies a lot more to Jefferson since he doesn't even play on special teams. Restrepo is at least getting a try out there. If Proche and Restrepo can both play on special teams what point is there to keep Jefferson since both Ayomanor and Oliver are in that role already? Seems to me he's much more the odd man out.

So Ridley, Lockett, Ayomanor, Dike, Oliver, Proche, and Restrepo if we're keeping 7?

Some of us said he was always going to be a RT.

Was fine to wait and give the OL coach the benefit of the doubt but anybody who said he was a right tackle and playing left tackle wasn't going to work - toot that horn.

I'm interested to see how the OL fares this year because overall success didn't seem a whole lot different (I can't assess proper technique within a scheme ... and hardly anyone else can either) with the "OL guru." But he's had a little bit of time and shuffle to get more guys to play his style. I'm expecting a big step forward and fearing it just doesn't materialize and then we have to question what the hell is going on .

I know that the boilerplate response to any preseason concerns is "It's just preseason" but is anyone else starting to be concerned with reports surrounding Zeitler's performance in camp so far?

I'm hoping it's him adapting to being more of a technician and learning Coach Bill's tactics.. Hance is hurt currently, and I'd love to see how Rupcich is doing..

The Tennessee Titans wrapped up their eighth practice on Saturday, and afterwards, defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson met with the media.

When asked about Cam Ward and what his unit is trying to accomplish, he had nothing but praise, stating they are throwing everything at the young quarterback and he is responding well to the concepts being thrown at him, which includes a new pass rush style that is starting to become more coordinated with every rep.

Dennard Wilson said L’Jarius Sneed is all in and “is our starter.”

I'm not gonna pretend Jefferson is some high quality starter, but he offers a different skillset. He has better long speed and can threaten deep, which Restrepo cannot.

Proche offers a similar skillset to Restrepo -- yes he's older, but he is also faster and better fighting for the ball. Both are limited by size and athleticism, but Proche has been showing out.
