I've long said Mason might be the most HOF worthy player that played for the Titans. His resume is way better than people realize/remember. Kudo to Chad Johnson for the recognition, Mason's stats blow

I'm just being a fan. Others, wanna-be keyboard analysts, just want to be Ultra Adults, practical to the point of painfully dull couch ornaments. Hardened arteries are less ossified.

Mason was awesome. I still think his breakout at WR would’ve come in ‘99 had he been used there which would’ve made the team even better. I understand the thinking at the time though. Yancy was awesom

He played what, 22 years?

20 - he averaged 1144 and 10 td per year. Avg 8.4 yds per target and 14.4 yards per touch. Incredible. If Tyrek Hill replicates his production last 8 years for next 10, he will pass him. But he won't pass for TDs cause he would be like 10 short

I don't agree with Ocho that Mason should take his place, and he's just capping to make himself look noble, but Mason probably should knock off Hines Ward for the last spot. But that's as high as that bitch-made Raven should go.

Also, Marvin Harrison needs to be above Owens. And I question Calvin Johnson being on the list. Not because he's not good enough to be on the list, but because he did the majority of his damage from 2011 onward. If they did a 2010's list he'd definitely be at the top of it. Above Julio even.

Kinda fucked up he signed a 1 day to retire a Raven. I'm sure the same thing will happen with DH

I don't think da King would do that unless the Ravens win a SB with him playing a big role.  There is one very interesting similarity between the two players.  Their early years were wasted because the team didn't recognize their talent soon enough.  Mason was fielding punts the first years of his career and buried on the wr depth chart behind less talented players.

Heisman Trophy winning Derrick Henry spent two years hauling Demarco Murray's gear.  Two years is a huge part of a RB's career, few last pass five.  Derrick is entering his tenth season coming off a 1900 yard season in 2024.  He's a Titan and will always be remembered for 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Henry is lucky he got to carry that gear. When he actually started, he wasn't shit. He had a heavy workload in college that sitting allowed him to recover from.

But Henry did say that he plans on retiring a Raven. Basically indicated if the Titans wanted him to retire there, they should have kept him. I'm fine with that, but going back on a 1 day deal is a slap in the face.

"Retiring a Raven", in context, simply meant he's not playing anywhere else. He could also have the retirement ceremony in a Ravens jersey but that's not what was committed to by my reading.

Mason was pretty darn good, not great, for awhile. A good example of what the hall isn't for, actually. But a really good, underrated career.
