Edge Rush is still a problem

I agree with most of this but Carter doesn't make Thibodeaux expendable. Sure, it makes it not as bad if they lose him.. but there's no reason to drop him. He had 2 very productive seasons and then last year he was hurt.

I dont know where we get an edge but we for sure will need to pick someone up. We should still be in the top 5 or so in cap space after we sign our rookies.

No reason to waste millions in future cap space on a meh veteran. We have our 2 starters plus a pass rush specialist. I’d just stick with what they have and look for cheap developmental depth at the end of camp.

Edge is probably the #1 need going into next offseason. Unfortunately, it's one of the most premium positions in football, and you simply aren't going to find the quality of player you want outside th

What exactly did you expect Borgonzi to do once he made the decision to draft Ward.   And if you are talking about solving EDGE in FA the best pass rusher to actually change teams this offse

At 32!

Vrabel managed some respectable defenses despite lacking at Edge.  I'm not even sure who they had at the position 2022 (Landry was injured) yet they were just outside top 10 in points allowed.   They were #3 in 2018 even with Sharif Finch and Kamalei Correa playing major snaps .

They are far from being dominant, but a quality DC would go a long way towards filling in the gaps

I'm hoping Travis Smith as defensive run game co-ordinator will go a long way to improving that aspect of the defense.. hopefully at least  a foundational start toward getting better on defense..

Add Clowney to the vet list….just released by Carolina

People might laugh at this but he’d be a good signing , assuming they are ok with his character.  He’s a short term signing who has  played under Wilson .

Assuming his knee doesn’t give out, you pretty much know what you are going to get.

We went into the draft knowing that this position was among our weakest. To the Titans credit they drafted one project in round two.

But that was it? We  needed more help here.

We have a pretty good to above average interior DL.

But without an actual Edge rush we will watch backup quarterbacks destroy us with their protection? I am sick of folks taking all the time in the world against us.  Even with Landry opposing quarterbacks ate us up.

We will go into the 2026 season looking for pass rush again, and all you guys will be whining for is WR.

The Titans were at their best historically with effective pass rush.  Kearse and Vaden Bosch.

But we go into 2025-2026 with Arden Key, a developmental rookie and what?

The Eagles just won the Super Bowl with pass rush.

Abdul Carter and the NYG trade solved this but the idiot Brinker passed.

I don't think it will be hurting future cap space. Likely 1 year deals. We need someone for this season. Same for MLB and OT depth.

depends on how much we try to roll over. But that has a limit and we don't care about too many big FA options anymore.

Every dollar in cap space they don’t waste this year gets rolled over to next year

Kinda..

but still this staff has explicitly said they want to get out of the first wave of spending... and we are 2nd in cap space going into next year as of now.

No need to be frugal on 1 year deals.

The offseason isn't over.

I don't get why this is being slept on. There are cuts still to happen. Who knows who might become available or who we may bring in. Maybe Za'Darius Smith or Matt Judon? I know both are old and maybe creaky, but maybe bring one in for rotational depth? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
