Maybe the individual pieces later won't be as good as the one piece at 35 would have been, but thanks to JQuiver and Ran-away we need quantity just as much as we do quality at this point. Im all for drafting a guard but idk how it fits in before the 4th round. Especially if we dont get a trade back. titanruss, and Thrill

Ideally you’d trade down from like 35 to something like 45 (or close by) pick up an early 3rd and take best available edge /wr with those picks and grab best available OL with the first pick of the fourth round. Would also consider a TE w/that pick as well .

Especially if we dont get a trade back. Barring any wild/inexplicable events transpiring (trade down from 1, trading Simmons for picks, etc) we've got limited resources. Any chance we have to increase those should be a welcome one. Assuming we truly are taking Cam and not trading down, staying at 35 is a luxury we probably can't afford, unless we just don't get any offers there. But if one of those expected 1st round edge guys falls to 35 there may be a suitor or two we can milk something out of. Are the Burches and Princleys of the draft so much worse than those guys? 1 minute ago, rns90 said: Ideally you’d trade down from like 35 to something like 45 (or close by) pick up an early 3rd and take best available edge /wr with those picks and grab best available OL with the first pick of the fourth round. Yep, or trade down even further in the 2nd to the 50s if you can pick up another pick on top of the 3rd. rns90
EC34
Zach Lyons may be right. Fuck the defense. Can't fix both sides of the ball. Go get a #2 WR, a #3 WR, a G to replace Zeitler in a year or two, a true swing tackle who could replace Moore if they walk away from his contract after 2 years, a hammerhead RB and a big body TE. Yes, we are likely to give up 45 points a game. But give Cam Ward a chance to be successful. Fix the defense in '26. I agree, i think trading down from 35 is a necessity unless some nutjob wants to give us a 3rd for levis straight up. rns90, and NashvilleNinja

I just saw a guy who got cleanup sacks who has great triangle numbers. I think they stick and pick if there’s someone they clearly expected to be gone is still sitting there when 35 comes up (WR or edge). But outside of that odds are it’s a trade down. I think a 4th is the most we can expect here. Hes worth more than a 6th though. A 5th sounds right for the return on a trade. Callidus

headhunter
You know some jackass QB coach thinks he can fix Levis in the league somewhere. He does have an awesome arm, probably the strongest of any backup in the league

I hate to say the team has to draft X position at Y spot on the draft but its pretty clear EDGE is the 2nd biggest need behind QB. headhunter, rns90, and Justafan

I just wonder... let's say both Eze and Golden fell to 35 and they stayed to pick one of them who would it be? Who should it be? Who would you want it to be? 9 minutes ago, BudsOilers said: I just can't imagine a team trying to sell Levis to the fan base as hope.... Desperation is a virtue for some.
