Jean-Pierre and Jake Tapper are both claiming to be independents and both wrote books about Biden's mental decline/cover up for the same reason, MONEY. 

 

Both of them were Biden supporters to some degree and both were involved in arguing he was fine.

There's plenty of evidence, circumstantial as it is, that Biden was involved in Hunter's business ventures, beyond the ex-colleague of the son.   That said, even if you don't want to count that, the press secretary very obviously lied to the press corp on a routine basis when getting questioned on the other 2 topics.

The issue with harping on Biden's decline and who was running things as President as well as the DNC botching the 2024 election process isn't an obsession with Biden at all.  It's an intentional focus on how it was covered up by Democratic leaders and most media outlets.  The Dem's rightfully are trying to shed blame by either lying about leaving the party or claiming it wasn't them and put it all on the Biden inner circle because you really don't want to be a party labeled as lying and untrustworthy.....they already have enough challenges being on the wrong side of ideological things like illegals, the trans vs girls stuff, and having support of men/young men. 

 

Now on the other side of the aisle, the Republicans are awful in their own right and will very likely non-govern their way out of power soon enough provided the Dem's can stop the noise on the 80/20 issues that ideologically make them look stupid.

The press secretary and Biden's decline are classic examples of fighting the last war.  They are no longer relevant to our current situation.  Don't fall for the distractions.

 

What is relevant is that the current president just claimed that Biden is dead and replaced by a robot.  He's in charge of our nuclear arsenal among other things.
