Starkiller
https://apnews.com/article/deportation-immigration-south-sudan-department-of-homeland-security-300e8c704402e2cb3c920d251b7fa876 The Trump administration appears to have begun deporting people from Myanmar and Vietnam to South Sudan despite a court order restricting removals to other countries, attorneys for the migrants said in court documents. Immigration authorities may have sent up to a dozen people from several countries to Africa, they told a judge. Those removals would violate a court order saying people must get a “meaningful opportunity” to argue that sending them to a country outside their homeland would threaten their safety, attorneys said. ctm
(Bloomberg) -- In the world’s biggest bond market, investors are pushing back against President Donald Trump’s tax-cut plan. On Wednesday, they drove yields on benchmark 30-year Treasuries to as high as 5.1%, leaving them just shy of a two-decade high and sparking declines in stocks and the dollar, as administration officials met with Republican lawmakers to hammer out a deal to enact the cuts. The concern is that the tax bill would add trillions of dollars in coming years to already bulging budget deficits at a time when investor appetite is waning for US assets across the globe. Investor sentiment toward Treasuries, which took a big hit after Moody’s Ratings stripped the US of its top credit grade late last week, deteriorated further on Wednesday following an auction of 20-year bonds that drew surprisingly tepid demand. The rout deepened a weeks-long selloff in bonds and underscored investors’ deepening disenchantment with the push in Washington to pile on more and more debt. Representative Chip Roy, a Texas Republican and a ringleader of the fiscal hawks, noted a posting on X about the “horrible bond auction.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/bond-market-warns-congress-on-risk-of-failure-to-rein-in-deficit/ar-AA1Fecjj?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=94e979f244ee44c29c51eac88a598977&ei=67 Trump doesn't care, never has about debt. He told Roy and the other budget hawks in a White House meeting today to just pass his bill.

They try and deflect from the elephant in the room by talking about border crossings, Biden's age and transgender. But they won't admit the fact what even some republicans (Roy, etc) are pointing out how this bill further adds to the annual deficit and total debt and that is a looming problem.....see the bond market. Jamalisms
Said it before but I'll say it again: Republicans will band together to vote for anything. Even cuts to Medicare and Medicaid in order to pay for tax cuts for the rich. Democrats won't band together and bend for eachother to accomplish ... anything. This difference is the reason why the country has crept further and further right and now stands at or is tumbling over the precipice. It's hard to say which is more despicable, people who willingly unite to undermine the greater good or people who would rather bicker and take a piss over small things instead of saving the greater good. TheBukafax
It’s only a matter of time until AGI is here and self sufficient enough that Palantir will send out drones to wipe out the majority of “unwanted” humans so the chosen can enjoy. Idk if any of this matters anymore tbh.
