If there’s one thing I learned from this thread it’s that you should be allowed to be dogshit for a long time then become slightly less dogshit when the heat is on and that should be enough to keep a job!

Another wasted year next year with this staff.

I have my doubts about Callahan and his staff.  If they would have one and done him, I'd have been fine with it.  That said, his leash is clearly the shortest of the 3 main guys (Brinker, new GM, and Callahan).

Hats off to oldschool for taking the L.    If I’m wrong about something I will as well

Vrabel inherited a good team that was bolstered by Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard, and later Ryan Tannehill, all playing in their primes, and then AJ Brown, Corey Davis, and Jonnu Smith - all behind a ver

well fuck. The L is mine. I'm man enough to admit it.

It was real bad to start but the entire unit showed tons of improvement and 6 weeks is a long stretch of the season, especially to end the season. Wouldn't surprise me if he saved his job.

Just like with the offense and defense, I want to see a senior assistant brought in across the board.

But yeah, the STs turnaround is the one unit I can look at and say there was genuine and notable improvement.

They need to find a returner.  A legit one who can give them field position advantages.

If they are rebuilding they don’t need to bring back Folk and can cycle through kickers until they find one.

I get your point but there is a shelf life on this. It's not like this is Anderson's third season doing this. Results are not the only thing to consider when firing a coach; that's reactionary thinking.

For all 3 units you could pretty much argue that personnel issues led to the downfall or was a huge reason for it.

Offense : qb (duh).  The coaching staff does share some blame for the RT disaster.

Defense: front four/pass rush/edge

When a coaches line of thinking to defend himself is “I thought the players knew how to play STs” when the entire KO procedure has changed this off season…

Wanting him fired isn’t reactionary. Pearce who outperformed BC got him and his whole staff fired. We can’t even get some turnover in the staff. These are surely the best coordinators and not just BCs gangbang guests.

I'm okay with not bringing Folk back, but if he's what is left after preseason and we haven't found a reliable one by then, I'd bring him back.

The notion everyone should be fired is reactionary or emotional has really started to grate on me. You can make a case for bringing them all back. Hell, I could make a case for bringing Carthon back. It doesn't make it a good one.

With Callahan and staff, meh. It's tough to justify bringing them back, but I can at least understand it. What I can't understand whatsoever is people telling us in the fire everyone camp that we are somehow emotional like we didn't just watch the worst season in Nashville with literally zero redeeming games or themes I can remember whatsoever the entire season.

I guess I’m ok with bringing Callahan back but certainly would have preferred the staff to be fired. It’s not like he really showed us anything last season to hang our hat on. OL play wasn’t dramatically better with the best OL coach in history. And the offense with Levis was even more inept than under Vrabel.

I’d say you’re getting pretty emotional and reactionary about these notions.
