Titans secure picks #1 and #35 in the 2025 Draft

Recommended Posts

Having listened to Wyatt talk about the section in question , it sounded like they had decided on Ward but  in case someone wants to pay their price (which hasn’t been met yet) they are open to it.

It didn’t sound like they were shopping the pick heavily though.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

I’m sure they know they are going to take Ward but if some ridiculous offer gets approached it would be in discussion

And there’s is absolutely nothing wrong with that.  They need picks and a qb.  So if the Giants strike out on Rodgers and Wilson.  It costs them nothing to listen and see if they get that rediculous offer.

Question is- what is ridiculous now? Bc it would have to be

Because as you said previously if you didn’t like the qbs they would have made more of an effort to sign a bridge guy this year instead of Brandon Allen.

You are not going into next year w/the qb room looking like Levis, Allen + rookie.

I wonder how much the Geno trade threw everything off. As soon as that happened Seattle was the number 1 suitor for Darnold. For all we know the titans plans could’ve been to make a run at Darnold but when Seattle entered the fray maybe the cost became too high. That’s just my guess though.

We’re still a month out from the draft and Wyatt hinted that their QB plans aren’t done and even referenced that there may be other guys that are currently on other teams that may be available via trade

Listening to the bit where Wyatt was warning fans not to just assume they are taking a QB at #1 and the timeline he was discussing regards other potential options clearly points towards two veteran options in Kirk Cousins and Derek Carr.

A number of the National "insiders" still have the Saints/Derek Carr situation as a watch for a potential post June 1st trade as the restructuring of his contract was purely a necessity to allow them to become cap compliant and to make other moves.

To be clear just as I felt back in early January the most likely outcome with the #1 pick remains that this team does what QB needy teams historically have done and that is find it hard to pass on a QB with the #1 pick, I just find it a little strange that even after digesting the first wave of FA moves that Wyatt and Jeremiah still won't rule out the potential of trading back from #1.

You know there is a good chance Wyatt is the mouth piece of Borgo/Brinker. There is zero journalistic integrity with Wyatt. He’s a paid shill.

agree on the Wyatt being a mouth piece but someone here said Daniel Jeremiah said something similar. Obviously all these people have connections so who knows if they’re just blowing smoke

Well yeah he’s not a journalist lol the question isn’t if he’s their mouth piece but why they’re pushing whatever narrative at any given time. And I can’t think of a good one for this one besides damage control

Right. He has no journalistic integrity because he gave it away to become a shill. He’s just doing what the team want him to do. Muddy the waters. Like what was brought up earlier, Carr and cousins aren’t even in the discussion because they require picks. It’s Ward at 1 or trade within the top 3. That’s it.

Don’t get me started on Wyatt. He continues to pretend he’s a journalist. Going to press conferences and asking questions. Whole thing is so odd… but maybe it’s the future of journalism!

If we agree that he's their mouth piece, then why would he be putting that out there?

That’s his opinion maybe

It very well could be! But that whole segment if you listen to it, sure sounds like preparing people for something they might not like lol
