I think it's a given they know they're attempting to work out more harmful addictions with a couple semi-less so (smoking? not a complete win by any means) AA meeting mentions always make me think of the Crocodiles (super old timers been sober forever) in Infinite Jest, as well as all the discussions therein about dreams of taking a solid crap when you're on the bottle. His face paint is getting more and more distinct and odd looking. I imagine they didn't increase the color and it just contrasts more and more with his normal skin color (which must be getting more pale or something?). It's hard not to gawk at these days.
