I agree that his production hasn't been where you'd like but it's not like the kid forgot how to run the ball. I think we're still trying to figure out where he fits in to the offense with Pollard, such a similar back being the lead back. With Henry as the lead back, Spear's role was clear and well-defined but things have clearly changed. This is speculation from me but I also think Spears might be missing some of Henry's leadership. I think the two had a nice relationship and shared with each other what the other was seeing during the game. Pollard, by all accounts is a quiet, private guy so maybe they're not being as collaborative as Spears and Henry were. Kinda sucks to have to go without your big bro when you're a young guy in the league and get used to having a vet to lean on. Regardless if what the reason is; the kid can play. smokeater
The problem here is all 1000% qb related. The retarded qb play is literally beyond bad and that directly affects all aspects of on the field play. There are other places to improve obviously, but that is true of every team including the undefeated teams. As laughable as it will seem to some, with decent qb play, the current roster is a contender. The defense is good enough, the OL is improved, and the skill players are there sans the most important one. I’ve been hard on BC for not pulling the plug sooner, but there is obviously info I don’t have keeping Levis on the field for now. It’s really almost not even worth discussing Levis’s flaws anymore because it’s just so bad all the way around. BC will get his shot with his handpicked qb at some point, but there is absolutely no way to evaluate him or even Ran(well, maybe Ran some because his hands stink for the Levis move up in the draft) when you have qb play that is this putrid. Popular Post Justafan
I said at the beginning of the season the Titans had to give the Levis experiment 6 games to see what they had in him. They took away all excuses with a decent playcaller and plenty of help. They know beyond a doubt now what they have (and more importantly what they don't have) in Will Levis. It's time to move on. Spears misses a massive hole to the left I imagine in real time that hole looks open right up the middle. No1TitansFan
Sticking Randolph into the lineup on the road against the Bills and especially the Lions is a recipe for disaster. He''s not going to solve the myriad of issues outside QB play that everyone is apparently blind to and him being at the helm of two probable blowouts would create a big QB controversy. Also how many times was he open and the idiot didn't throw him the ball? I'll guarantee we only see the 8 targets and not the entire passing game as a whole in terms of missed opportunities to Ridley oldschool

You keep repeating this and its wrong on every level. Rudolph is a vet who played behind a bad OL last year and produced. He's been light years better than Levis. The notion they shouldn't throw him to the wolves based on opponent is weak. Edited October 16, 2024 by oldschool Mythos27

That's why we brought him in a why he's being paid that way. IMO he had at least 3 balls that were catchable for a receiver of his caliber and there were a couple of comeback routes where he simply could not create any separation. This isn't a Treylon Burks situation where the expectations are low. This is supposed to be our #1 receiver and he's not playing like it. Levis might suck but neither Hopkins nor Boyd had as bad a day. Shit, NWI caught an TD and even Burks was more impactful. Ridley doesn't get a pass. That doesn't account for how many times he was open and didn't get the ball because Levis can't come off his first read.

Make the plays that are there to be made and then we can talk about the missed opportunities. We know Levis sucks but that doesn't mean we give others a pass for sucking. As I said, Hop and Boyd were fine. A lot of Ridley's targets were contested in part because he wasn't getting open. That's on him and we should expect more.
