Given that most of the players on any given roster are still going to be locked in at their current contract, and/or the contract that they would have gotten even without the cap increase, I would say that this is better defined as supply and demand. Though, I can certainly see your point of view regarding this and will pontificate further, and perhaps update my viewpoint. It's the most interesting discussion around and we should definitely fight about it. I'll flip a coin on who goes next. You want heads or tails? With Aaron Rodger’s being back, presumably the Jets are considered a positive destination for free agents. They have some cap space and the means to generate more. Bulluck4dmvp
Don’t get the Rodgers appeal. Old, coming off a major injury and their OL stinks. Callidus
AussieTitanFan08
According to Russini there isn't a strong market for Justin Fields and no team aggressively chasing him. Justafan, and Starkiller

AussieTitanFan08
Rapoport just said Kirk Cousins will have a "huge" market if he makes FA and there are multiple teams lining up to sign him should he not agree to an extension with the Vikings. AussieTitanFan08
We have reached peak rumours season with some of the stuff in that Russini/Mays Athletic Football Show podcast, according to them the latest buzz is the Cardinals are no certainties to take Harrison Jr and are willing to trade back for a team to take a QB. oldschool, NashvilleNinja, and titanskick8851 1 1
ctm
Field's contract is a potential negative. A trading team has to give up draft capital for one year of cheap labor, then the 5th year option and finally a new contract.
