I would rather bring Autry back than waste money on a guy who isn't a third of the player Autry is and will cost almost as much. He may just be a bust, but why not give him a chance to turn things around? The team isn’t going to be winning this year regardless so it’s a perfect time to hunt for reclamation projects you can’t necessarily count on. As for Autry, I wouldn’t bring him back based entirely on his age, even though I love the guy. Invest cap space in the future, not in guys who will never be able to help by the time they might possibly be ready to contend again. But a 29 year old Wilkins who will be around autry's age by the time we are ready to compete is a good investment? Why not save 10mil a year and bridge the gap to that youth? But far too rarely do we ask how much he busts?

Kinlaw coming off his best year got 3.5 sacks last year. Autry had 11.5 and was the best pass rusher on the team. SleepingTitan

Plus this guy had 5 seasons in SF and didn't do anything notable.

Kinlaw was in SF with plenty of time to prove himself and did nothing. Justafan
Bongo59
Autry has a lot left. I'd sign him for two or three years.
