I loved the game before the Titans came to TN.  I watch football games.  If a person watches other games while the Titans are playing, that's different.  How can someone claim to love football and not recognize Lamar is a special player.  I don't like Baker, but he's balling in Tampa.

I didn't watch the game, so I don't know if how many of those attempts were for 1st downs or other key plays that are overlooked.  

 

He's fallen off dramatically and it started weeks ago. 

 

There's always a random player doing surprisingly well. Most don't do it for an entire year, let alone many years. But there's plenty of teams and there's always a new player to point at each week and crow about how easy it is ... if you want to make a point not worth listening to.

I was 100% wrong about Lamar Jackson. He's the best QB in the league right now and he's playing at a level I did not think he was capable of. He is in total command of the Ravens offense and he's become a great passer. He's passing the ball better than I ever could have imagined he was capable.  

 

Lamar is playing way better than either MVP season and barring injury will easily win a 3rd MVP. 

 

Jackson has a 118 passer rating and averaging 9.1 yds per pass and is on pace for 36 TDs 5 INTs and 4400 passing yards, as well as over 1000 yards rushing. He's capable of breaking away on a passing play or be used as the primary runner. 

 

It's not a knock on Tomato Can but when I went to sleep they had really not even used Tomato Can. He had barely been on the field and Lamar had the Ravens with a 17 point lead. It's not that Tomato Can had been bad, he just wasn't a factor. I saw the box score this morning and was surprised at Tomato Can's numbers until I saw the 81 yard run through the wide open perfectly blocked hole. The Ravens are the perfect spot for Tomato Can to pile up the yards along for the ride and possibly contend. 

 

Anyway, I'm a big enough man to admit I was wrong about Lamar

They had stats posted saying things like from 10-15 yards, Mariota was as good as Brady.  Week in, week out.  They condemned all the receivers.  @OILERMAN was trouncing Mariota.  It was one of the worse fanboy whipping ever on the board.  Now, they stick their fingers up and test the wind.  If Omam said it, I'll repeat it.

Gotcha. I ended up being wrong on Mariota myself. To this date it's the only stance that I'm ashamed I defended because I knew better but went along to get along anyways. Never again.

I remember posting very damning stuff on Mariota in 2018 in season and the offseason before 2019 and people lost their shit calling me a hater (although I did learn to hate that Pineapple eating bastard).....but honestly the aplogists/cult fans of his were always more annoying than he was.

Ahh the infamous PSG3 flex. Dumbass thought how Mariota played in a presason game meant he sucked and somehow holds onto it like he was first off the bandwagon. When you throw shit against the wall, you get lucky sometimes. Worst football takes on the board for nearly two decades.

It was obvious in 2017 that Mariota had major flaws that were not getting any better but the blame all went to the coaches and other personnel.  Rinse/repeat for 2018 and then 2019 up until the Denver game for way too many people.
