There was nothing special about what Henry did yesterday against the 27th ranked run defense. It's just a testament of how far he's fallen that kind of production is celebrated

This is exactly like it.  I remember George had a 100 yard game against the Saints in one his tomato can years (2001-2003, don’t recall which one).  The Saints were a god awful defense that year.  And then the next year they played a good defense and George was back to his 20 carry and 55 yard shitiness.

Henry just beats up on bad defenses now.  History is even repeating itself where they bring in a young RB and the other guy looks great (Chris Brown).

Productive and best aren't the same. I would never say Henry is the team's best player. Hopkins is the team's best offensive player right now. And of course I'm going to be talking about offensive players. Comparing defensive and offensive production is very difficult apples to apples. I agree that Hopkins has been the best offensive player. Spears is right there too, just not better than Henry yet IMO. I consider Henry the most productive given his production relative to his position. Henry has slightly more yards than Hopkins and has scored twice as much. Points factor heavily into production.

Y'all use the term washed way too loosely. A player, even if he's not at his absolute peak is not washed if he's still effective/productive. A player is washed up when his level of play is no longer good enough to step onto an NFL field and be effective. Is Henry is his prime? No. Is he washed? No.

Tennessee is ranked 27th in points per game. Who cares who the most productive player is? The problem is they don't have enough productive players. Henry may not be the biggest problem on the team but he is a liability and he's definitely not 'elite'. That was a dumb argument from the beginning and obviously wrong.

 

Everything beyond that is arguing semantics.

You're describing washed up ass Eddie George his last few years, 1k+ but a negative on the offense, just like Henry

 

And for you productive seems to equal touches.

 

Vrabel gave so many touches a few games back he set the NFL record for futility. Least "production" for a RB with 20 touches.

 

If Henry plays next year for another team it's going to end embarrassingly for him. The reason, because he's washed

I think if Spears got the same/similar usage as Henry, he would be more productive. Henry gets all the touches at the goal line.

129 carries for 446 yards 3.4 yards per carry. 1 rush for 20+ yards, a 22 yard run.
