Both Henry and Spears have shown themselves to be effective short-yardage runners. Given the situation, the coaching staff preferred to run Spears against a favorable defensive package and alignment as opposed to putting Henry out there and giving the defense an opportunity to sub guys out. Y'know, it's really weird: in today's game, both Henry and Spears consistently had good running lanes and were rarely hit behind the LOS.....and both guys ran effectively and put up very solid numbers. Last week, both guys were consistently hit at or behind the LOS....and neither guy did squat. It's almost as if there's some sort of correlation between OL play and the RB's ability to produce in the running game. Weren’t you the one going on about how you can’t discuss RB with people if they think YPC matters?
