Burks looks good. He’s flashed big play ability in every game since coming back. In fact, if he doesn’t get knocked out on an illegal hit I think that game is more competitive since we would have had a threat in the passing game.

Everyone here has bad takes from time to time (hell my blow it all up post at 2-4 in 2019 is an all time clanger) but I never got why so many here were clamouring for this bum ahead of the 2021 draft.

I can explain this one.  It's the height/weight/speed stuff plus the fact that the one year he was healthy he had 5 INT (or whatever) and looked the part of a shutdown corner.

I'm even more baffled the more I think about this. 

 

What happened between 10 months ago when Robinson got an extension to now that led AAS to fire Robinson?

 

Bud Adams would do something like this. Is it a coincidence that it happened after AAS was getting heckled in the owners box as AJ Brown blew up? 

 

A lot of the moves people are blasting were already done before Robinson was given an extension.

 

A few weeks ago the team had just won 7 of 8 games. 

 

As for the offensive talent. There is a transition but the offense is getting an injection of talent in Burks, Chig and Philips. The right tackle is likely going to be a long term starter. The passing game looked good from the 2nd half of the Broncos game until Burks was injured vs Philly.

 

There is still something we don't know. Or AAS went straight up Bud Adams. 

 

This doesn't make sense to say at this point in the season the move was made because of the roster.

BTW, the biggest mistake from JRob was letting Jonnu go and trading for Julio. It's not the AJ trade.

 

The Falcons had no leverage and were strapped cap wise and Robinson gave up a 2nd and took the whole contract? Ridiculous. Worse that cap space could have been used to keep Jonnu. How about Jonnu over Swaim right now?

This will sound like a cop out but my view on this is that we didn't create the conditions for him to be worth that. He can easily be worth that money IMO but he needs holes, just like every other RB.

This is why you don't pay a 2 down RB. These conditions that need to be created can lead to a successful running game with an average RB, like Foreman for example!
