The best part about being a non-tax payer is I don't need to either. ChesterCopperpot1, and Somedude 1

I haven't lived in Houston since 1978 and never lived in Nashville. Don't care where they play but it would be utterly hysterical if the city/state bungles this and the team moves. I actually hope it happens just for the entertainment on here. As mentioned pages ago, this is always how these things happen. Cities/states don't want to or can't pay for a new stadium. There's always a new city that will. Edited March 29, 2022 by BudsOilers rns90

BudsOilers
As reference, the current stadium cost 264 M funded as follows: Quote PSL - $23 million. State Contribution: $55 million. MDHA: $4.7 million. General Obligation Bonds: $74.8 million. Revenue Bonds: $78 million. The balance was from the Oilers. The city/county came up with roughly 2/3rds of the cost last time. The state came up with roughly 25% If the state is coming up with 500 M, that means the city/county needs to come up with roughly 1.3 Billion assuming a similar public funding split. Better get those NFL Stay! campaign.....

I would really enjoy such an outcome. I typically don't see fans pulling for a team to be moved, but it appears you were originally a fan of the Oilers. Are you located in Houston? ChesterCopperpot1
So it’s $600 from the state (not $850) and $250 million from Erie county.
