Reality is he has lived off that  ferocious tackle he made against Michigan in the bowl game his senior year

Lewan and the guy who was playing guard have always maintained that it was a miscommunication between them where they gave him a free shot.

You mean you don't think Nick Dzubnar will get a big contract anywhere?!

After seven seasons as an NFL player,  the signature moment of Clowney's entire football career is still a single play from his sophomore year in college.  His most notable NFL accomplishment is his status as a former #1 overall pick...which has nothing to do with anything he's done on the field.   Now he's headed to his fourth different team in the past four years.

I don't have a problem with Clowney, but people have to accept him for who he is :   he's a good  player....but nowhere close to great.    In seven NFL seasons, he's been an impact player from time to time....but at no point  has he ever been a game-changer.

I kinda hoped he'd return to the Titans....but let's be real:  he didn't have an impact when he was here.....his departure won't have much impact either.

Didn’t Clowney sign with the Titans in part because of the scheme?

Yea he supposedly had his best year with the Texans under Vrabel

The idea was he would sign a one year deal, have a break out year and then get a long term deal

There’s been plenty of debate as to how much of the blame is on the players for last year’s defensive struggles.

But based on the fact that virtually every player at every position underperformed, I think it goes without saying that the defensive scheme and playcalling were shit.

Well he should STFU since he signed with the Titans knowing what the scheme was.

It will be interesting to see how Clowney does opposite a superior pass rusher in Garrett. I suspect Clowney has a better season than Titans fans think.

He spent most of his career across from one of the all time greats and never put up impressive numbers considering his hype end advantages. I don't see that steely changing now.

I see a guy who's lived a career off that highlight tackle he made in college.

I suspect Clowney will be productive in the Browns defense because he won't be viewed as the main component in their pass rush scheme like he was here. They'll let him free lance more.

Hopefully for their sake, they let him free lance less.

That was part of the issue with him here.
